Holy shit... good on you, and I'm honored to meet a 13 year vet of the shitfest... if there was a meme navy, it would be run by the chiefs, and you would be one of them good sir
Reddit downfall began in 2015? before then it was decent. There was a time you could see down and upvotes. So you'd see that the guy with 35 points actually was downvoted 5k times and upvotes 5.035 times. You knew his opinion wasn't popular but it was agreeable.
You'd also see the post of the guy talking shit up 120 but with a lot less engagement. Most people just didn't bother to either upvote or downvote or even read it.
Ellen Pao and hiding the total votes is when they started working to censor opinions and their real popularity. (Fatpeoplehate and other subs being banned as really a turning point to the shitfication of reddit) After that changed the hive mind really coalesced you'd be negative for speaking against with no real way to see you had support of your opinion like I said maybe you're -40 but with 10k up votes and 10.040 downvoted. That also made people think hey this opinion is not unpopular. It also would cause your votes to eventually shoot up since more like minded people were like to see that and think hey this isn't wrong it just isn't liked.
I wish here they introduced total votes feature. Loved that
Yep. this is how is happens. The smart people leave (or get banned) from the platform, and what's left is a cesspool of screeching idiots and marketing. Look at Twitter.
It's MySpace all over again. MySpace failed because the college students all migrated to Facebook. Nobody wanted to hang around with the inactive profiles and autoplay music anymore.
Left Reddit about 6 months ago. I went back last week to see what going on in the front page. Ended up reading about a woman being offered to post an ad about her candle business on Instagram to an audience of 600k people for $50 and a free candle. Somehow Reddit felt the man who offered this deal was the devil and a piece of shit human. Reddit is full of useless idiots that have nothing going on in their lives, and all of their friends have blocked them on Facebook, so they complain to strangers on the internet.
I also know a 40yo drunk woman that lives two floors above me who sends me her AskReddit threads at 2am when she is hammered and upset at her loser husband.
Winners win and losers lose, and we win here at theDonald.win - congrats on leaving Reddit.
I know, I was nervous to delete my reddit at first, because I was on there over 5 years, and had genuine achievements documented there, mainly on the lockpicking sub... but the only thing worse than wasting 5+ years on that site, would be allowing myself to waste 1 more minute there
NextDoor's insistence on people using their real names freaks me out. I need to give my real name, and display my neighborhood? Anybody who looks at property tax records can easily find out where you live. NextDoor is basically a doxing platform.
I gave them a schpeil about how the site changed for the worst, and is now a liberal echo chamber and mental gymnasium, given the amount of mental gymnastics I've seen there
I had noticed that I was spending most of my time on TD. Then about 6 months ago, I made the switch to .win, I was still going on reddit, but less and less, started unsubscribing from subs that were becoming nothing but reposts, at first I thought spammers were stepping up their game and karma whoring a lot more, but then I realized that less people were visiting, and the spamers remaines the same.
So then I was basically down to two local subs, ine was modded by a lib that banned conservatives, so a few local conservatives got together and made their own local sub.
So....now I was just down to being on that local sub....but the activity went down steadily. Not sure if people were just going on reddit less and less like I was, or they left it altogether.
I deleted my accounts as well. But it's sad. I was on Reddit mainly for topics non-related to politics, I really miss them. There's a lot to learn from other users when it comes to hobbies and interests.
Do you guys think we will have off-topic content here as well, sooner or later?
I'm hopeful we will, look at the several new communities that have joined just in the past few days. Freedom is a popular thing, and I predict communities and users will only continue to grow. Each new wave will bring more and richer content here, with heavier moderation, reposts, sanitized brand-friendly content, and bot supported advertising there.
I did the same. When the Donald started back around the last election Reddit started going to shit. The last 2 years I pretty much only visited the Donald. Now it’s here and I’ve deleted Reddit after 8yrs
If you uavent cut the cord and used pluto tv or tubi internet stream you eill slowly detach from the matrix. I reactivated my facebook to redpill. But everytbing else, propaganda cable. Just some good internet that can handle streaming. You'll slowly do more productice things in life.
Watch the small video.
Load the bookmark into your browser and run on your profile.
Easy as.
I chose to edit all my posts with some words about erosion of free speech so they remain up in protest.
or you could just go straight for the delete option.
Then after that I deactivated the account.
Meh, I told them to get fucked... it said all my old posts would still be visible, and I thought "good... maybe some poor alienated moderate liberal will find my old posts and realize that were not all that different, and his feeling of disenfranchisement, and him being labeled as the problem will bring him here, to this beautiful oasis of freedom in a web sea of cucks, nuts, and weirdos" if my trail of logical bread crumbs leads just one "on-the-fence-patriot-to-be here, I will be happy...
I didn't even think about deleting my old reddit account. Literally only make one for T_D. Might as well get rid of it since I haven't been on there since and it'd add to their current freefall.
I no longer get that sinking feeling when I see several replies in my inbox and know I am going to have to argue with some cretin who has gone out of their way to take offence at something totally innocuous I said.
As sson as they said hate speech was allowed against people in the majority I was done. Those people literally don't understand the meaning of the word equality nor do they even want it.
The original TD quarantine happened before this site even came online.
I deactivated my Reddit account after 13 years, 3 weeks ago. I was a Digg refugee originally and I've got the same feeling all over again.

9 year Reddit user. Nuked my 200k faggoty karma account too.
Now do facebook and feel the love

Thank you... Feels good man
After Reddit banned TD I deleted the app.
I don’t miss it. Place is one giant AD.
I know, I was nervous to delete my reddit at first, because I was on there over 5 years, and had genuine achievements documented there, mainly on the lockpicking sub... but the only thing worse than wasting 5+ years on that site, would be allowing myself to waste 1 more minute there
When I left I did coin toss and coins scattered everywhere... but dont even get me started on coins right now lol
NextDoor's insistence on people using their real names freaks me out. I need to give my real name, and display my neighborhood? Anybody who looks at property tax records can easily find out where you live. NextDoor is basically a doxing platform.
Same here I am way more happier without Facebook. Also I didn’t lose touch with anybody I actually care for. I just gasp call them or text them now.
Yup same here! It’s great!
I bet your account will be upvoting through November.
As will my dead great aunt Gertrude lol. Their bullshits going to catch up with them this go around, I firmly believe
Gotta stop.
I just go there to troll with leftist talking points and report everything as "It's promoting hate based on identity or vulnerability" these days.
<I just go there to troll with leftist talking points and report everything as "It's promoting hate based on identity or vulnerability"
It ain't much, but its honest work.meme
You're doing the lord's work my dude
This week:
✅ Deleted Reddit account ✅ Deleted Twitter account ✅ Deleted Facebook account
FREEDOM!!!
🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Left when even the video game subreddits become SJW hellholes.
I gave them a schpeil about how the site changed for the worst, and is now a liberal echo chamber and mental gymnasium, given the amount of mental gymnastics I've seen there
I deleted 2 days ago. Feels great!

I deactivated my account after 11 years on there. I jumped to Reddit when it first was popular. And Digg was still a thing.
I did the same. When the Donald started back around the last election Reddit started going to shit. The last 2 years I pretty much only visited the Donald. Now it’s here and I’ve deleted Reddit after 8yrs
Yep I deactivated 10+ accts finally after auto mass editing their comments. Feelsgoodman. I too had been a Digg refugee back in the day.

You're supposed to leave an anti-spez MAGA message for them when you deactivate! Make sure its blazingly obvious why they're dying.
The reddit exodus gives me vibes from when digg was the major site and then people left for reddit.
I'm keeping mine open so I can go back in a year or so and gloat and troll until my fingers bleed. The great fall is going to be glorious.
I still check some subs, but nothing political. Can't wait til we have alternatives here
I'm a few hours away from doing my 8 year account. Going to mass edit comments and then delete account using Power delete suite.
Any recommendations on how to mass edit? I’m getting ready to ditch my 9 year old account.
Power delete suite man.

Awesome, Thanks.
Me too. Made sure I deleted everything before I left.

Closed both my Reddit accounts but still use it with an ad blocker for read only purposes on non-political special interest subreddits.
It will be difficult to replace a lot of the small communities.
I didn't even think about deleting my old reddit account. Literally only make one for T_D. Might as well get rid of it since I haven't been on there since and it'd add to their current freefall.

Feedback : Spez is a cuck
We need people stronger than you to win. Shape up pede!
Facebook, Reddit , Twitter, Kickstarter...all gone this week as well as local BLM supporter businesses.
As sson as they said hate speech was allowed against people in the majority I was done. Those people literally don't understand the meaning of the word equality nor do they even want it.
Yeah deleted the app off my phone myself.
I only browse for the porn on my porn alt.
I unsubscribed from literally everything remotely political.
