Backlog is pretty long - this is happening.

[email protected] if you run a community that wants to leave its current platform.

Also - please, remember to spread these new Wins to people and groups who you think will enjoy them.

Sargon has some good videos about it.

You can also check out some of appabend's stuff, though I don't know how much of it is Gamergate related.

But for the gist of it:

Some bitch named Zoe Quinn slept around for some good reviews for her visual novel.

Her boyfriend makes a long-ass blog post detailing her wrongdoings.

She deservingly gets shit on for it but Leftist shill journos go to her defense and try to be moral guardians for the rest of the gaming community.

Then came Anita Sarkeesian and the floodgates opened.

julianReyes 55 points ago +55 / -0

Zoe Quinn

Don't forgot that when she tried to jump on the #metoo bandwagon by making up a story about Alec Holowska, one of the guys behind Night In The Woods, sexually molesting/raping her, he committed suicide and she wiped her online presence like the coward she was instead of taking responsibility.

Never. Fucking. Forget. This was the woman the journo clique decided to defend.

Zoe Quinn deserves a special place in hell for what she has done.

It wasn't even reviews, it was just getting passing mentions in articles about other games.

There was also the 24 hours of copy-pasted "Gamers are Dead" articles from a dozen or more sites.

ZQ did one thing right, though. She doxed Candace Owens and had her friends harass Owens. This redpilled the shit out of Candace.

23
Sumsuch 23 points ago +23 / -0

There was also the 24 hours of copy-pasted "Gamers are Dead" articles from a dozen or more sites.

It's really important to note that this scandal led to the revealing that journalists were all in the same private message group, planning out their articles to push their social agenda.

8
Amaroq64 8 points ago +8 / -0

I vaguely remember hearing about this. But it isn't even the first time they've done this.

During Obama's first election, actual journalist journalists were colluding on a secret leftist-journalist-only message board, called JournoList, to set overarching narratives across the mainstream media and working together to brainstorm ways to defend Obama during the controversy over his pastor.

When it got leaked, they downplayed it and deleted it. Then another secret leftist journalist message board got leaked, revealing that they had gone right back to it when they thought they wouldn't get caught. They just downplayed and deleted that one too.

Then recently, game journalists got caught doing the same thing, and they just brazenly bragged about how they jokingly named it after JournoList.

This kind of shit shows that the media isn't biased because their boss comes down and tells them what narrative to push. It's biased because the journalists are passionate leftist zealots spearheading those narratives themselves.

Dunno, I think she's dropped in to obscurity where she belongs.

13
TentElephant 13 points ago +13 / -0

You've accepted part of the narrative. It was never reviews. They wanted to make it reviews just so they could say it didn't happen. She got coverage, which is literally all an indie project needs. The game itself is irrelevant, like Sander's book.

6
ekos640 6 points ago +6 / -0

No one's discussing the bigger fact that literally who looks like a shaved gorilla and anyone willing to fuck that needs help

3
Killroyomega 3 points ago +3 / -0

Also don't forget that after much digging we found out that many of these groups pushing for social degeneracy were receiving State Department funding.

It was no fluke that Anita Sarkeesian and her ilk managed to fail their way to the UN.

1
cryogen 1 point ago +1 / -0

It's important to note that it was publicity and not, technically, reviews. If you want to avoid the annoying counters by leftists saying that the reviews never happened, so nothing bad happened, it's important to be precise.

If you were online back in 2003-2008ish almost everybody online was edgy. It's still kinda the case now but it was more obvious and everyone knew it was a joke even if people acted really seriously about their blatant sexism.

Take the most popular moment in world of Warcraft history for example: When the funeral got ganked. Serenity now (the guild) that ganked it uploaded their video and it became a staple of gaming history. The name they went with for their production group that uploaded it was "women shouldn't vote productions."

Now that sort of joke can't pass on big tech because things are more centralized. Along with the centralization of course comes leftists ideology that likes to be offended by anyone. And who's willing to be the most offensive? Gamers. Because it's funny.

The SJW's went after gamers and it really hasn't worked like in other communities. Most gamers wanna play games and joke around, it's not meant to be serious. There were certain controversies like a man on stage beating a woman in street fighter and saying "Let it happen it'll all be over soon" during an e3 event, and the basic fact that women never compete in e-sports because they suck at Video Games on average. Gamers are clear about this. "No we don't give a shit if you're a girl, if you can't kill that guy then you can't be on our team".

So while everyone's trying to do the whole gender equality thing, gamers think it's stupid and they'd rather have a giant cheeto eating COD expert than some girl just because she's a girl. That's the jist but I could go on.

It was a largely disorganized, leaderless movement in the videogame community that was fighting for ethics in videogames journalism. It was discovered that many (read: almost all) of the top videogame news sites and magazines had been taken over by SJWs who didn't like videogames and had really shady ethical practices.

The media ( the ones being scrutinized for horrible ethics) tried to deflect attention by claiming that gamergate was a movement of sexist gamers trying to push women out of the industry.

Even though Gamergate as a movement has largely stopped being relevant and there is no organized movement anymore, Gamergate still gets mentioned constantly in articles that have nothing to do with gamergate. This happens so often that we have a word for it: gamedropping.

I could go into a lot more detail, but we were one of the first communities to stand up and fight against hack journos and SJWs and feminists in our industry. Check out the two new .win communities!

Watch this, and then part 2 of you’re still interested:

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Z7ubG5nG2Gc

Basically, it’s a story of corrupt media (video games media) getting called out for being the frauds that they were/are... and instead of doing the right thing and owning up to it, being introspective, and promising their customers they’d do better... they doubled down, banded together to push false manufactured narratives, called their customers sexist bigots, and destroyed their credibility forever.

So the exact same thing that the mainstream news media is doing. Turns out “journalists” are sleazebags regardless of the industry!

3

In the 2000s I always thought the SJWs (I referred to them as ego strokers because the term SJW didn't exist then) would conquer the west if they left gaming, movies/tv, and porn alone. Their arrogance have them attacking all 3.

69
Knight1_of_Sunset 69 points ago +70 / -1

I would go so far to say that, if it wasn't for Gamergate, the_donald wouldn't taken off. Heck, Donald Trump might not even have gotten elected without the seeds Gamergate have planted.

What Gamergate eventually came to represent is one of the first, large and mostly successful, organized resistance against the fake news media and their masters. Gamergate started off when an SJW bitch was caught sleeping with "gaming media" reviewers in return for positive press for her "game". And from there, it really snowballed.

At first, it was limited to the SJW gaming media. Then, Gamergate got attacked by more "serious" opponents like celebrities, academia, and, most significantly, the actual mainstream media. The fact that the movement got attacked by the fake news media means is a wake-up call moment for a lot of us that the whole media industry is rotten from the core and it is not just limited to the gaming journalism. And it is also not just the media industry that is rotten, the academia, entertainment, and cultural sectors are just as bad. From there, Gamergate, and the KotakuInAction subreddit we are centered upon took on a new dimension. We are now warriors in a cultural war against an enemy that is more evil than many of us have realized at the time.

This is part of the reason why KotakuInAction and KotakuInAction2 split. The mods at KotakuInAction wants to keep the movement focused on video games and not the greater culture war at large, mainly because we have discovered that the mods of KotakuInAction have became the censorious leftist monsters that we have been fighting so hard against and want to neuter the potent force that may have ultimately gotten Donald Trump elected. The userbase revolted and went off to found KotakuInAction2 which are the true heirs to the vision, spirit, and mission of the modern Gamergate movement: to combat the leftist rot that have perverted many aspects of our lives.

On another note, the mods of KotakuInAction2 even programmed a fun little thing into the Automoderator Bot so that the Bot transforms into Liberty Prime when it sees the words "China" or "Chinese" in the submission title and start spewing a copypasta to fry Chinese Shills' Internet Connections. It gotten a lot of use during the past six months or so...

15
SarafanAtreides 15 points ago +15 / -0

It certainly opened my eyes. It’s quite something to witness an event and then see the media completely distort and pervert the facts. I couldn’t believe it at first but it kept getting worse and worse. Then they did the same to crazy Bernie. Now, I’m here and while the reality is grim, I’m glad I’m not alone. Thanks frens!

12
Ricky_CIA 12 points ago +12 / -0

Don't forget when their mask slipped with GameJournoPro. That behind the scenes collusion and coordination between all the """journalists""" really opened a lot of eyes.

4
Amaroq64 4 points ago +4 / -0

The group was directly inspired by JournoList

Look up JournoList. That was mainstream media journalists secretly colluding on a leftist-only message board. It got leaked that they were working together to shape overarching narratives and were running defense for Obama during the scandal over his pastor. They were telling each other "just call them racists" and shit like that.

Then when they got caught, they downplayed it and deleted it, and then got caught doing it again on another secret forum, and just downplayed and deleted that too.

It's infuriating that now they're at the point where they don't even feel the need to delete and remake it anymore. They just got all sassy and went "we jokingly based it on JournoList", and they're allowed to get away with this?!

Liberty Prime is a five-story-tall robot from Fallout 3. It goes around and destroys communists with either laser beams built into its eyes or by throwing football-shaped nuclear bombs, all while spouting patriotism that can be heard miles away thanks to its loudspeakers.

When I first saw it in-game, I immediately thought it was the best thing ever!

the_demoncore 68 points ago +69 / -1

KIA was infiltrated by SJWs and leftists, who got mod positions and then began censoring the subreddit and forcing it to adopt left wing views while making more and more legit GamerGate content "off topic" and banworthy. Eventually it became no better than ResetEra and other SJW gaming forums. Those same SJW, communist mods now run the KIA .win, because all the simping for Reddit admins in the world can't save their subreddit.

KIA2 was formed due to the core userbase of KIA recognizing they were being subverted, so they split off and formed a new subreddit. KIA is more or less a dead subreddit now, circlejerked by the SJWs who infiltrated. KIA2 is the real KotakuinAction subreddit, and by extension the real .win site as well.

19
AlcoholicRetard 19 points ago +22 / -3

KIA2 didn't like the censorship so they moved. Big fucking woop. The internal strife of a community is up to them to figure out.

14
Webasdias 14 points ago +14 / -0

Most of the people on KiA2 want the name as is because it serves as an indicator of what happened (one user on the .win described it as ‘scars’, which seems apt and made it sound cooler than it honestly is lol).

Also if they did it that would get rid of the half Kotaku joke, which they use to describe the first one since one is half of two.

8
fasterth 8 points ago +9 / -1

lol it would, i mean we hate chicoms dont we? we didnt create this freedom haven to be run by chicoms, BUT, idk they do have their community there too with their own people who might not wanna be both coexist in a single site.

4
RumorControl 4 points ago +5 / -1

There's disagreements as to Exactly How Bad each of the mods are for their past actions, however, much of the bad blood largely comes from mods not wanting to give admins of reddit ANY actionable reason to nuke the sub, which they probably took a bit too far.

3
intamin 3 points ago +3 / -0

Yeah but if you are transitioning (not like THAT) from reddit to win it’s easier to know what you’re getting, perhaps?

10
Yonan 10 points ago +12 / -2

I'm subbed to both but I see it more as KIA toeing the line to not get banned and keep the focus exclusively on pure-GG issues. Which they don't do perfectly.

KIA2 is basically the entire culture war which what GG morphed into for me, so I think it's great to have both. But KIA2 would have been much faster to the chopping block than KIA on reddit, and losing the best place for us to talk would have sucked balls.

So basically, thanks to the_don for setting this all up and allowing us to jump ship. Reddit is cancer.

Somehow it seems like history in the making that one .win site can now brigade another.

28
orcwordlaugh 28 points ago +29 / -1

KiA mods put up a vote as to the direction of the sub moving forwards. Then ignored the result and did what they wanted anyway.

Basically to keep the scope extremely focused to gaming to the exclusion of all else. Alternately to continue also allowing more general culture war issues.

The vote was extremely in favor of the latter. The Mods decided to put the former in place anyway.

This act of authoritarianism by the Mods caused a schism resulting in the formation of KiA2. At first KiA mods were banning people just for posting on KiA2 but eventually un-bunched their panties a little.

KiA2 is now more active than KiA.

25
Stopple 25 points ago +26 / -1

Stolen from KIA2, and I believe it:

Kotakuinaction's mission statement was opposition to censorship and bad journalism. It is impossible to oppose these things without opposing leftism itself. Virtually all bad journalism and censorship is coming from the left. So the sub began to organically tilt conservative.

The mods leaned more left, and they became obsessed with making sure the sub did not become "another T_D". So they implemented a ridiculously vague rule of "no unrelated politics". They then used this rule to remove content that was absolutely relevant but supported conservativism.

At one point, the mods actually put the rules to a vote. The users overwhelmingly opposed the absurd content removals. The mods didn't care. They ignored the results of the vote and continued arbitrarily removing content. Some of the mods became openly hostile to the users.

On a related note: the Kia mods lost their shit when users started talking trash about polyamory. I can't imagine the mods would have behaved this way unless one or more of them were engaged in the polyamorous lifestyle. We might have been dealing with literal cucks.

Kotakuinaction2 was created as a lifeboat for those who abandoned the increasingly garbage moderation of Kia. Whereas kia1's mods censored content to avoid becoming too conservative, kia2 mods are stridently free speech (to the extent that Reddit permits).

I've already seen Kia mods on .win lying about what happened.

2
akai_ferret 2 points ago +3 / -1

I'm not fan of the KIA mods but let me offer a more charitable version of events.

The KIA mods were scared of the admins.
Many posters were not ready to take the redpill.
And many other posters wanted to stay focused on gaming and not wider politics.

As a result the mods began getting more and more restrictive with the rules, allowing only very narrowly focused content that was strictly gaming related.

A lot of us realized that Gamergate's issues were a small part of a larger culture war and we wanted to talk about all of it, not just a tiny piece.

There were disagreements, the KIA mods disregarded a community vote on the rules, and the community split into the "gaming only" KIA and the "culture war" KIA2.

Honestly I would have made the KIA2 site into CultureWar.win instead of KotakuInAction2.Win.
We don't even talk about Kotaku anymore.

59
Ragnar_Danneskjold 59 points ago +60 / -1

Since people are going to ask "what's the difference between KiA and KiA2?"

Here's a good explanation from u/Throwawaycuzmeh:

Basically there was some drama where some mods got power hungry, some left-leaning mods got involved, started cracking down on users, ignoring the results of votes they asked for in the first place, start banning people. Other mods would do shit like delete a user's thread submission, then resubmit it themselves to reap the karma, get into petty arguments with users using their mod accounts, get the last word in then ban the users, etc. Just a lot of petty shit. I jumped ship to KiA2 not long after it formed.

Now I hope things can be repaired and that both subwins can flourish. It's probably not the worst idea for the two subs to continue on their divergent paths, with KiA being specifically about gaming journalism, and KiA2 being a more anti-SJW/culture war sub for topics that are wider than just video game journalism, such as comics, movies, anime, TV shows, tabletop gaming, etc. That's basically what ended up happening on reddit. KiA2 tried to narrow its focus and push out other views and other topics, KiA2 opened its focus to talk about anything culture war related in the general realm of "nerdy or weeb shit", and it's mostly worked out. There's no reason both can't continue to exist with their own missions and focus. I hope the hatchet at least gets put down if not buried and the drama can go away now that we're all no longer being poisoned by the toxic cloud known as reddit.

23
_soundwave_ 23 points ago +28 / -5

That sounds toxic as fuck, and a recipe for bleeding that poison all over the associated wins.

28
Ragnar_Danneskjold 28 points ago +28 / -0

That's one of the reasons it's great the Win Mods set it up to be associated by separate sites.

-4
HandofBane -4 points ago +2 / -6

It's not, but the narrative machine will keep on spinning, because asspained people want to believe they could never be on the wrong side of an argument.

The KiA mod team is about a third right wingers, a third left wingers, and a third yuropoors of various leanings. This has been our rough makeup for the last 4-5 years, including multiple retirements and new mod hires. I'm one of the center-right mods, several mods are to my right, and the mod who generated the most hate from the eventual KiA2 community was one of our farthest right mods who did a good job of separating her personal political beliefs from her ability to enforce our rules as written.

We wrote our rules with a few goals in mind - to keep a focus on games journalism ethics issues first and foremost, to keep the admins from coming down on our heads for being such a controversial area of the early culture war, and to keep our fully politically mixed community from turning on each other like piranhas. Some people did not appreciate that last aspect of how we ran things, and turned into piranhas trying to eliminate anyone who didn't agree with their tribalistic view of the world - many of those people became a core of what is now KiA2.

2
TehAgent 2 points ago +3 / -1

I'd like a politics board that's not cucked to one side or the other, where actual thoughtful discussion can be had on a wide range of political events and news from all sides.
Is that even possible today?

66
Cole_Dedhand 66 points ago +66 / -0

You mean a free and open discussion and debate of ideas? I doubt the average user on r/politics would stick around when we put their ideas through scrutiny.

25
NonyaDB 25 points ago +28 / -3

I know lots of things but the most important thing I know is that I don't know everything.
I'm open to hearing out any and all thoughts and ideas however the person making them needs to understand that those thoughts and ideas are subject to an open and honest analysis and debate.
Attempts to silence honest political debate on something just makes the person or persons attempting the silencing not even human in my eyes.
And for those people, I care not if they live or die - their entire existence just becomes irrelevant to humanity.
I won't even acknowledge their pathetic pleas to "help" or "call the cops" or "call 911".
They're not even worth the time it would take to watch them die horribly and in great pain.

15
Cole_Dedhand 15 points ago +15 / -0

I agree with your points on debate, but I wouldn't wish evil on any of these small fry. My biggest beef is with the people that manipulate these lemmings. The corrupt who hold the power. Many of these people are just brainwashed and it's not entirely their fault.

3
lowkeylocarb 3 points ago +4 / -1

The people may be brainwashed but they still empower that politician. When is enough, enough?

6
Cole_Dedhand 6 points ago +6 / -0

I don't have the answers pede. I just want America to flourish. We need to fight back with words as long as we possibly can. If worst comes to worst then the only future I can see is through civil war. I don't want it to come to that.

1
Grief 1 point ago +1 / -0

I used to feel that way but at this point it's just people voting for communism. They know what they're doing, everyone took History class in school.

Since Trump's election things I thought I knew, I surely did not.

I thought I understood the Deep State. Oh God I surely didn't.

I thought I knew the NWO. I wasn't close.

One thing that really fucked me up? No human ever landed on the Moon. We've been in Low Earth Orbit, yes. Moon? No, van Allen belt. NASA satellite raw data is hidden behind "national security". All my Life I believed it*.

In the last 5 years every fucking thing I've default believed, when I took a long look, I found out I was being lied to. Even my "conspiracy theory" thoughts were implanted lies.

Open your mind. Take the handful of hours to read the link. I went from a hardcore defender of the landings to, holy FUCK, it was a lie.

8
MrTrumpsWildRide 8 points ago +8 / -0

Problem with the left nowadays is that they are so far away from a normal common sense platform -- even relatively normal people who vote Democrat or consider themselves center-left are in complete denial about these things if you actually calmly and logically talk things through with them -- that it's impossible to have a free and open debate with them without it immediately devolving into accusations of racism sexism transphobia islamophobia blah blah.

Here's a few.

"There is no scientific evidence, and in fact the studies have disproven the conspiracy theory that blacks are targeted by police or subject to more killing."

"Self-determination, the right of a people to govern themselves and create the laws they live under including laws about who may immigrate to their country, is a fundamental human right. Move to another country is not a right at all."

"There are two genders and humans can not change their gender by wishing it like some kind of fish."

"Climate scientists have been caught discussing ways to alter their data because the evidence did not support the global warming conclusions they had hoped for."

"Studies have shown that funding refugees to be housed and protected close to their home countries until it is safe costs as little as 1/10th the price that it does to relocate them vast distances to western countries where they have no ties or common cultural or language backgrounds. So wishing for limited resources to be spent on that is a wish to leave behind 9 of the least fortunate of them to war and homelessness and starvation for every one you take."

"0bama, Bush, Bill and Hillary, Mueller, etc are warmongers and criminals who have repeatedly lied to the American people to go to war and regime change and foreign intervention."

"Trans people have the same rights as everybody else."

"Mohammed who muslims consider the perfect man was a child raping pedofile warmonger who owned slaves and raped them and beat women and slaughtered people."

Here's a real doozy, "there is no evidence Trump colluded with Putin to hack the election, and there never was. Everything was fabricated and lied about, and you all got fooled by it because you're gullible and believe everything your politicians and news corporations tell you."

Try bring up any of these "hate-facts" and have a calm debate with even the most reasonable leftist about it and they'll quickly lose their minds.

3
Cole_Dedhand 3 points ago +3 / -0

I get it man. Anything that may be a touchy subject to these leftist are an instant REEEEEEEEE! What can we do?

When we were on Reddit this community was responsible for red pilling many. Some people are impossible to reason with, but there are still many that will eventually listen to reason.

6
Shitposter69 6 points ago +6 / -0

REEE my emotions!

1
lowkeylocarb 1 point ago +1 / -0

I'd like a free and open discussion and debate of ideas among Americans - or rather anyone who would put their life on the line to preserve freedom. Frankly, I don't care how Europe does it or how China does it. Foreigners love American politics and always voice their opinion in these subs. Then other foreigners come by and pump that shit up and its just nonsense absolute communist bullshit.

2
Cole_Dedhand 2 points ago +2 / -0

It is pretty annoying with all these Eurofags pushing their bullshit on us.

1
Cole_Dedhand 1 point ago +1 / -0

That dude already got destroyed by Ben Shapiro, Alex Jones and Ted Nugent.

16
Jefferson 16 points ago +16 / -0

It's tough. You would need a mod board that is split down the middle. If one of the mods slacks in their duties then the other side will abuse the majority. Human nature and all that. Plus upvotes allow the mob to control the narrative. This format is not conducive to bilateral political discourse.

8
NonyaDB 8 points ago +8 / -0

Simple solution - get rid of the whole "collapse downvoted comment" feature.
Let their comments stand wide-open along with their downvotes.
Upvotes and downvotes do nothing but show how many agree or disagree and should have no other function.
They won't raise a good comment to the top or dump a bad comment to the bottom.
Have switches at the top of every thread that can be used to filter like one is used to however have them all disabled at the start.
And for the love of God have a nice "Fuck Reddit" switch that turns all that shit off.

3
todiwan 3 points ago +3 / -0

Wait, people actually use "collapse downvoted comment" feature? Cause downvoted comments are usually by far the most insightful for me. Probably because I'm a massive contrarian.

2
Cole_Dedhand 2 points ago +2 / -0

I think it'd work.

7

8

2
WilburPudding 2 points ago +2 / -0

Maybe just upvoting, like here.

3
wethepepe 3 points ago +3 / -0

Too hard.

Let’s just open politics.win and pretend it’s totally neutral but in reality we just ban/silence anyone who’s left of Alex Jones

1
Gov_Dimwiddle 1 point ago +1 / -0

The best case scenario for this in my opinion is for politicalcompassmemes.win to be established. Its moderators respect and promote free speech and have created an environment where anyone can voice their political views without the fear of being attacked by the opposing side for no good reason. In the end, everyone there just wants to grill and have a good time.

13
Ragnar_Danneskjold 13 points ago +13 / -0

The hardest of hard fucking passes on that one. Conquest's Second Law. Any organization not explicitly right-wing sooner or later becomes left-wing. I don't want any of that "both sides" bullshit on any .win. Any time anyone on the right tries to branch off and say "We'll create a true free speech platform that isn't biased", the Left comes along and says "well that means we have to have equal power too right? You don't want to break your own principles after all". And then once that happens, it quickly gets flipped to being another Leftst infiltrated stronghold.

When you're dying of thirst in the desert, you don't finally find water and then decide to mix in half bleach to make sure poison and not-poison both get a fair deal. If you want Leftist poison, you can always go to reddit for that side. Let all .win sites always be explicitly and deliberately right-leaning, and never budge from that.

5
1776-or-1984 5 points ago +6 / -1

This is O Sullivan's law.

And I agree. I don't want both sides, I want the largest America First/anti-commie site fleet possible.

2
toxicbiofacts 2 points ago +2 / -0

Agreed. .win’s expansion should be careful not to import too much reddit soy.

1
AsahiNoHikari 1 point ago +1 / -0

You can have left-wing communities hosted by right-wing hosters, though. If the hosters actually got cucked, then of course the whole thing would go the way of reddit. But I think that would be an issue whether or not they host anything not explicitly right-wing. And I haven't seen anything to suggest the hosters would be susceptible to that. In fact, they seem to be doing what they can to avoid that possibility.

The other potential issue is being overtaken by a hostile userbase. But fortunately there are already way too many existing users for that to happen to the general .win network, whether it be from the left, or the nutty right like what happened to voat.

And if the mods of an individual .win got cucked? Well, in the case of something with a neutral title like politics, they wouldn't be adequately doing their job anymore, would they?

This is politics.win.

Shout out to all the red pilled folks at KiA2. Welcome home.

27
mike20599 27 points ago +28 / -1

KiA2 is the real site for GamerGate. KiA1 has cucked mods who censor shit they don't like. They really belong on reddit.

24
PapaPepe 24 points ago +25 / -1

Please, for the love of God pedes.... Use KIA2 and not KIA. There is a reason it exists and that's because KIA got corrupted years ago and has had admin installed SJW mods running the joint while Bane let them. KIA is compromised. They have narratives to keep and agendas to push. KIA has a fraction of the comments and upvotes that KIA2 does because the large majority of the most active users all have either been banned for wrongthink or left to go to KIA2.

Want to know what people of the actual KIA 1/2 communities think?

Robert Conquest’s Three Laws of Politics:

  1. Everyone is conservative about what he knows best.

  2. Any organization not explicitly right-wing sooner or later becomes left-wing.

  3. The simplest way to explain the behavior of any bureaucratic organization is to assume that it is controlled by a cabal of its enemies.

That's a great question, I don't know why half-KIA came here considering that they basically hated T_D and used it as an example of what kind of sub not to be. I don't mind them being here, though, it's just curious.

27
Cole_Dedhand 27 points ago +30 / -3

There's beef about the mods basically and the direction of the two subs.

45
Knight1_of_Sunset 45 points ago +47 / -2

"Beef" is a bit of an understatement; the mods of KotakuInAction (without the "2") largely betrayed their userbase by becoming the leftist monsters many users of their sub were at war against.

22
Cole_Dedhand 22 points ago +24 / -2

It aint my fight. Those userbases can hash it out themselves and let the best ideas win. I'm simply glad we are giving a platform to both sides even if we are more closely related to KiA2. I've been on KiA quite a bit these past couple days and they seem chill to me.

15
Meatbank84 15 points ago +16 / -1

This, we are giving them a place to share their memes, chat, and discuss their opinions openly without judgement or spez like censorship. I welcome all to the win platform.

Wait... Is .win allowing non-maga subs? Are we what social media should have been or the conservative version of their nonsense?

14
Warskullx 14 points ago +18 / -4

The sub split. KotakuInAction had strict moderation. Partially to try to avoid getting banned from reddit and partially to try and keep things on topic. KotakuInAction2 went with light to no moderation.

KIA1 probably overmoderated and a lot of relevant stuff wasn't allowed, but KIA2 is probably a bit too unfocused and a little spammy.

Much respect to the Kotakupn community and thank you for coming to .win . recognizing the importance of free speech and the ability to have dialog with fact driven information. The ability to disagree and help build in a common goal. Its funny cause we all might use our energy in different goals in life. We are all fighting a common enemy. With Google AI, fact checkers and policy police running wild in there company. You see how twitter and reddit are lock and step with there ruler. Whonyoubare, what value you bring to this world, your hardest to obey the law and have some rype of morale compass means notbong. Your communities are a waste of time . Big tech obeys a different set of guidelines and laws. Just another piece of fear in the masses questioning the narrative. I will add that because of there left is right, right is wrong mindset. May we rejoice in this moment when we are coming together to break the Big Tech Wall of censorship. It is a great day for the freedom of the internet and the freedom of speech. A bastion few countries control anymore and the more we break through on all fronts the quicker this shit ends until they reform. Evil always comes back. A special thanks to the creators and admins of .win. I been with you beautiful patriots when President Trump came down that golden elevator. Thanks for hearing the communities voice and banded together to do something about it. Reddit use to stand for something that was the freedome of information and an uncensored internet. God bless you all and to your success and all the other communities success. omegaCanada and Im sure there and new ones popping up.

Also FUCK COMMIES, FUCK CHINA, FUCK ISRAEL

Maybe the default color scheme should be adjusted a little bit. Straight up grey on grey is kind of ugly. The banner for hot/new/rising/top being blue by default or something would make a huge difference.

Time for the mods to think about the official.win logo. Maybe something with a eagle and some red, white, and blue.

For peeps confused as where there's KotakuInAction and KotakuInAction2, it's a case of one of those famous reddit jannie drama blackjack and hookers stories, but in this case the new one ended up being a little more active. Kia2 is a bit looser and has a more general culture-war focus, while Kia is a bit more video game specific.

It's a fun place with mods that are only faggots sometimes, which for reddit jannies is pretty high praise.
