I didn’t hear about the subreddit until about 2017, so joined late in the game. What was it like during the 2016 republican primaries and the election? Was there a real sense that Trump was going to win, or was it more of a “this could be fun for a little bit” type of attitude?
And thank you to the creators of this site for keeping it alive!
Fucking lit
Nuff said... thanks
So goddamn obvious I kick myself for not finding out political betting was a thing back then because those who did made it out with a 500% ROI. I took it for granted because news headlines were circulating that Pillory was sitting on her ass the entire last lap. There was unbridled confidence and the atmosphere was infectiously jovial.
Remember, we were still circulating news headlines the MSM was ignoring so we were much more informed than the indoctrinated progressimps.
We knew it was coming. Reddit tried their best to censor us.
At first they laughed at us... some stuff happened in the middle... and then we won.
In the primaries it was like a 24/7 party. shitting on JEB! and little marco and the others was really fun. it felt like we were just chilling and making memes, watching trump shit on every other cuck in the field, winning almost every primary on the way to the nomination. It felt like a dream, while now it feels more like a war.
we somehow worked hand in hand with the weaponized autists of 4chan.
It was chaos. It was glorious.
Glorious
It was awesome! Then WikiLeaks and pizza gate... was always fun. This place definitely has the same spirit!
I think I was about the 3000th member. It was crazy watching it grow everyday. The memes are great now. But I had such a low meme tolerance that every one them left me in stitches.
“Can’t Stump the Trump” videos were still being released. It was like a new victory lap every week. Trump warned us that we’d get tired of winning. Honestly the winning was so routine. I had no doubt that Trump would win the election.
