Hi everyone,
I've now implemented an easy way for me to add new file types. (Only approved types will work currently, don't want people uploading viruses with exe's and such.)
If there's a file type you'd like to be added to the maga.host service, please put it in a comment below and I'll see what I can do.
Audio is now supported, for example: https://f.maga.host/IVA1nfV.mp3
Try it: https://maga.host/

It strips all EXIF data and such right?
Yes, EXIF data is stripped for images
EXIF data isn't a thing for audio formats.
Nice I love the UI
Awesome! Thank you!
Nice!
Great! Thank you!
Cool news! Thank you for sharing it.
So I tried to do some .mp3 and the host site says it isnt allowed. Am I doing something wrong? Also would it be possible to add .m4r to the list its the ringtone file extension for iphones. Thank you for this awesome service.
MP3 and video uploading was removed from the site since it's now supported in a much better player on https://video.maga.host
Only PDFs and images can be uploaded to https://maga.host
Ah, makes since, I did use video.maga.host for the mp3 files, but is there anyway to add .m4r files to it? They are the file type for iphone ringtones.
Unfortunately no, you'll just have to convert it beforehand with a tool such as ffmpeg.
Okay, was just hoping to make it easier for people to use right away after downloading. Thank you for all the info though.
Uploaded formats to video.maga.host aren't kept in their native format, they are converted into highly compatible formats (mp3, mp4, webm, and HLS playlists) so that they can be played back in all browsers on all devices
