This one really pisses me off. I want to literally march them to Aldi and say "Look! Fucking carrots for 19 fucking p! Meat and cheese, all under a £, pasta for literal pennies! Fruit, veggies and all sorts of herbs and spices!
Bread, rolls, tortilla, soft tacos are all a piece of piss to make at home and the ingredients cost practically nothing. I made one of the best cakes ever the other day, Coffee cake with a coffee frosting. It was gorgeous and cost me about a quid to make.
Some parents these days are utterly useless. I saw a mumsy type women in Aldi a few weeks back looking in despair at the lack of self raising flour. I had to point out to her she could use plain flour and baking powder instead. She was amazed. A housewife should know these things and should not have to be told them by a 42 year old, angry, misanthropic man.
