SUPERB comment and one of my sisters works at a midwestern university and states the more recent term for the parents of the TODDLERS she has to see day in and out is no longer 'helicopter' parents but bulldozer parents, starting literally from birth (if of course they're lucky enough to make it out of the Liberal Abortion-Luvin Womb). Can't play outside as they might get a boo-boo, can't be exposed to Traumatic Red Ink in ANY class ever, ALWAYS get a trophy for MEDIOCRITY, etc, etc. And then after the K-12 brainwashing these MONSTERS get to the Marxist madrasa of 'higher' education where THEY inform all staff and professors what they will and won't tolerate (Evergreen in WA state, the 'house parents' at friggin HahVahd telling these BABIES that they're ADULTS and should be able to choose their OWN Halloween costumes a couple years ago? "OMIGAWD! The Horror!!! Ray-Ciss cultural appropriation!!! [unless yer Lizzie Warren]"). I have infinitely more respect for both the STEM grads (who you RARELY see protesting as they're busy with JOBS) and/or those who go for a viable TRADE.....to disconnect the utilities for failure-to-pay of the PhD grads in (insert completely worthless degree here).
