It really depends on who makes the decision to file charges or not file charges and the jurisdiction. In an area where leftists run stuff, a DAs office that wanted to curry favor with leftist voters would possibly charge her with a range of violations starting with brandishing, and she would probably lose her permit, at the very least. In CA or NY, for example, the woman who presented the pistol would need a good lawyer, particularly if the prosecution was presented with video evidence which would increase chances of a successful prosecution.
People hate to hear this, but when it comes to self defense with a firearm, the legal system is your adversary, not your advocate. This is even more true in Democrat controlled jurisdictions, where they will maliciously prosecute you to set an example.
Section 2.2 is her best bet. I would hope the bar for that is lower considering she is pregnant. How much scuffle is a pregnant woman even able to sustain without injury to the baby, not much of as all. Gun pulled.
Right, but she was safely in the car and decided to get out again.
I’m not local, so I have no idea how responsive the police are in that area. If it is part of Detroit, probably not too responsive. Realistically, had she stayed in the car and the blacks had done something to the car— keyed it, or slashed a tire— the video would have never been seen again. Only because the white woman got out and pulled the pistol are we seeing the video.
Had she stayed in the car and called the police, or stayed in the car and waited for the black women to lose interest, or all of the above, this would have probably ended up as a big nothingburger. But now, I’m guessing that the white lady may need a lawyer, and that is costly, maybe $25K or more. She’ll probably lose her permit, assuming she had one, and never be able to carry legally in that locale again.
This is a good example of why it can be wise to carry OC or some less lethal alternative.
Somewhat agree, but it is an exaggeration to describe a couple of obese black women as “multiple assailants,” and my wager would be, if this went to trial, that argument would not do well in front of a jury. What if half the jury looks like the obese black harassers?
In all likelihood, it would never go to trial, but it will still cost the woman real money, and maybe more. If she can’t afford a decent lawyer, particularly, and has to rely on a PD, that could be bad for her.

I don't live in Michigan, but they do have "stand your ground" and "castle doctrine" laws in place. The stand your ground law presents three conditions that have to be satisfied in order for the law to apply. I'm not convinced she would be able to establish in a court that all three conditions were satisfied.
