Or she'd be immediately disappeared the second she landed, only place she was 'safe' was where she was.

This. Remember epstein/maxwell "belong to intelligence". Their honeypot/blackmail ring was at least exploited by our intel among others. If she "disappears" it's going to be made very permanent. Especially if nobody knows she's being waterboarded into coughing up details on any "deadman's switch" insurance first. At least in prison she can still threaten to spill the beans.
