My TDS mom keeps bringing up how Trump's a child rapist or something, and I don't know enough about what happened to tell her she's wrong (because, obviously, if there was any real connection we NEVER would have stopped hearing about it from the mainstream media).
She keeps saying how years ago there was a lawsuit between Epstein and these girls, and the girls lawyer made a corrupt deal to keep Epstein from jail, then Trump hired that guy.
So how exactly do I tell her she's a moron? (in the most polite way possible, of course)
This smells a little trollish but: if it were true, the news would have been all over every news media in the entire universe. End of story.

I literally asked her to disagree with a single policy position of Trump's she doesn't agree with and she gave me nothing. She just doesn't like him.
Well, sometimes you can't persuade people--but that doesn't mean they are justified in their beliefs. Look at the Main Stream Media and how they attack every single thing he does, to the point of being prepared to destroy the country to keep him from a second term. Best probably strategy? When she starts, just say something simple, like "I know you feel that way. I don't." and just don't argue it because it will only frustrate you and you won't win. In fact, some people do this just ot push other people's buttons. She will slack off if you stop engaging. Maybe his second term, with better media so she will hear the truth, will change her. Take care of yourself.
