Hmm! How about another view. In my state, and the town I lived in for 35yrs, and a whole lot of other towns here-- all of them have NO police department at all. The crime rate is next to zero. Most/all the citizens are white, armed & conservative in the main. In the northern part of the state, some towns with numbers and not names, all the people are living at or below the poverty level. Many, near the Canada Line, have no electricity, no running water and no cops or police force.

Now, for all you highly educated social science majors--- why are cops needed in some towns and not others. Related, why do cities breed crime that needs a cop force?
