Styx was pretty much on the mark - this week - when he said that President Trump is the first since Reagan who wasn't a total swamp monster of a disaster - and Reagan was following Carter so that was a pretty low bar (Carter may not have been swampy - but ya - disaster).
Bush HW was chief spook of the CIA and Reagan and Bush hated each other. They were put together at the GOP convention when 1st and second place delegates were often pooled to prevent a split (not as common these days).
The similarity between Trump and Reagan - apart from using the same slogan - was the idea of them being populist disruptors. The idea of big-tent politics means big wins in the face of overwhelming opposition. Back then it was the Reagan Revolution. Today - hell - I still don't know if there's a consensus yet on the movement's name (apart from calling it a movement).
A lot of people (including here) forget that, unlike Reagan, President Trump has to undo all the festering crap that has existed since 1989. Probably a little sooner. That's over 30 years of inertia and entrenched interests he's having to work against.

President Trump should tell everyone that this judge is exactly how rich and powerful people continue to get away with crimes. President Trump should also order Barr to take possession of all these files and pass an executive order making it a felony for any judge to order them destroyed until they have been examined.
