Parler is like TD.win, and Twitter is like Reddit. Sometimes you just want to hang out with like-minded souls without all the animosity, like here. Parler is actually really active, and most people are reporting vastly more engagement with fewer followers than Twitter. Proving what we already knew all along, they throttle the shit out of conservatives.
It’s also a great place to organize. So you’re right, it’s not a substitute, but it is a valuable tool that can partially make up for where Twitter has already reduced our reach.

Hard to find much info in the founders and CEO. How do you run ads for your site and sponsor content with no discernable revenue model?

That being said, I am super close to a beta release for an alternative platform that solves many of these issues, and I just secured a large sum of money to ensure That I have the runway to get it done.

I don't use twitter, so I'm not sure if this is how it works, but I assume they don't let people edit their tweets once they've been posted (to prevent people from getting a bunch of likes and retweets, and then completely changing their tweet to something "offensive" or obscene). I'm guessing an edit button is a commonly requested feature (so people don't have to delete their tweet, and then repost it, when they make a typo), and twitter is using it as an opportunity to virtue signal about wearing masks... as if we need a fucking corporation to tell us how to live our lives.
