When it finally happens, we're all going to be alone because conservatives that run away from problems let other conservatives get eaten by the horde because they don't want to lose their job.
It reminds me of Lord of the rings when Merry and Pippin are talking.
Pippin just wants to run away back to the Shire and forget about the problems of the world and not get involved with the war with Sauron.
Merry correctly reminds him that eventually the war will spread and there won't be a Shire anymore.
Running away from this situation isn't going to solve anything. All you're doing is delaying the inevitable. And when the problem eventually does reach your front door step, there won't be anyone to help you because they would have already been trampled over because you let it happen.
