Why the hell did the guy get fired? I know they gave the bullshit "we don't condone this kind of behavior" statement, but "what behavior?" He was very calm the whole time that I could see all he said was "who do you think you are?" Is THAT racism now?

There should be protests over this, we need to stand up and make a show of force at this point. No riot, no property damage, just a clear statement that we will not tolerate this kind of shit any more.

This was the gist of my e-mail to the university "what exactly is the 'inappropriate behavior' that Eric engaged in on the tape?" I say we organize a sit-in in the person's office who fired him unless they reverse course.
Just put them on camera and start acting like the two women who instigated the whole scene. Basically harass him until someone shows up and pulls a gun on us then shriek "OHMAGAWD YOU SO IGNORANT. CALL THE COPS."
All things considered I would've liked him to step in and take a more active role. It might have helped who knows. Didn't think they were husband and wife when I first saw the vid even though I noticed the pregnancy, just based on how he reacted. Thought maybe brother or uncle perhaps.
I feel like there's one spot in the tape when they both get out where perhaps he pulls his gun out but he's not pointing it at anyone. So I don't get what the crime would be there.
He did get charged with the exact same crime as his wife though according to what I've read. So maybe they just saw the short clip and saw he was charged and went off of that. Pathetic.
Oakland is an irreparable cesspool. Any Conservative who walked those halls, took courses in History, Political Science, or Communications in particular, knows how hardcore the indoctrination is. Full blown Communist Professors, out in the open, brainwashing naive students. One morbidly obese Professor in the Communications Department of the bull dyke persuasion, thought it was hilarious to regularly talk in class about recruiting young women into homosexuality through indoctrination and influence "Oh yes, we recruit!" was a snide and regular mantra for her. Many young female students were uncomfortable with this, but never said a word out of fear for their futures. White Males are regularly singled out as examples of oppression at this school. OU, Michigan State, University of Michigan, Eastern Michigan, all rotten to the core. Truly saddening.
Eric is a good man. His wife did what she felt was necessary to protect herself and her unborn child from an irrational and increasingly agitated aggressor. And Oakland doesn't give a shit about Veterans. They're treated like lepers, told they served US Imperialism, and are only there as cash flow from the GI Bill, Army College Fund, among other Service Branch College Programs.
