Agreed. I would add that in many states a self defense shoot requires that the shooter have done everything in their power to avoid the life threatening situation. A refusal to run from a confrontation doesn't demonstrate that to a jury.

I'm certainly not trusting my freedom to the judgment of a city DA. I don't know why anyone would.
