I sent this to kristal . howard @ kroger . com, the person in charge of Kroger's marketing team:

I wrote to you a few months back about your financial support for Reddit.com with advertisements and demonstrated ways they were harmful to my community, in regards to communities dedicated to tips on stealing food from grocery stores and other products from small businesses, from a community called "IllegalLifeProTips."

Now, Reddit has banned all communities that support the President of the United States, and they allow communities that promote murder of our nation's police officers.

Here is proof: https://old.reddit.com/r/JusticeReturned/

This community has been reported to Reddit's staff countless times in the last year, by myself and others. The administrators of Reddit have ignored the violence on their site, and now we see that violence in our communities from the "antifa" terrorists that use Reddit to radicalize others.

I have archived a particularly disgusting post on Reddit glorifying the massacre of five police officers in Dallas by a BLM terrorist: http://archive.is/eMytL

As you can see in this link, Reddit allows their community to engage in extreme fantasies of violence and idolize murderous psychopaths who kill our devoted police officers in cold blood. While they allow such filth on their site, they claim that supporting the current President of the USA is "too hateful" for their publication. I will not stand for it, and I will not support businesses that advertise on Reddit anymore. Not one penny.

I am very disappointed that you did not feel I was worth your time to respond to my letter two months ago, and now and so I will not be shopping at the local Fry's any longer. I will be using Safeway and other local grocers from now on.

Goodbye.

Fuck Steve Huffman, cancel Reddit!

I don’t shop there anyways. Don’t shop at stores that essentially require tracking cards

Aldi is the way to go! Everyday low prices, no nonsense, and virtually no marketing. It's like they actually focus on being a grocery store or something.

TrumpTrain 4 points ago +4 / -0

We have Walmart and Kroger in my city, nothing else.

4
jimbad05 4 points ago +5 / -1

That sucks, maybe you can order certain things like dry bulk foods online and get them delivered?

Otherwise, if you must shop with a retailer you despise, consider making frequent, small purchases there with an AMEX credit card. American Express charges the highest fees to merchants (around 3%). Most credit cards also charge the retailer per-transaction, so making 10 purchases of $10 hurts them more than making 1 purchase of $100.

Even with a wrong number, they are still tracking all of your purchases and tying it to your account, which is what they want anyway.

Should add something at the end stating that if any violence/shooting/killing occurs that can be traced back to reddit, Kroger will have blood on their hands; especially now after being explicitly notified. Is that something YOU want, Mr. Howard?

AmmoHoarder [S] 13 points ago +13 / -0

Ahh good point but I already sent it. I encourage you to use the links to that sub and send similar emails to any company you know advertises on Reddit.

Companies will NOT want to be associated with cop-killing terrorists.

This is how we cancel Reddit, now that we can show how Spez banned the_Donald but leaves subreddits like JusticeReturned up

Industry4 5 points ago +5 / -0

Will do. Thanks for sending this to them! I actually shop at Kroger on a regular basis. I appreciate you informing me that they advertise on Reddit. I am willing to bet that their customer base where I'm located will NOT appreciate them advertising on violent leftist sites. I may take this up directly with the local store manager and see if pressure can be applied that way as well.

Tell everyone you can

Show these links

4
magabigleague2 4 points ago +4 / -0

For them to care, I think you need to make your concerns seen by the public eye. Your emails will be ignored and will be like it never happened. Show it on their twitter or something.

3
AmmoHoarder [S] 3 points ago +3 / -0

Good idea. I can't make a twitter account because I refuse to give them my phone number, which seems to be mandatory now

3
powershellder 3 points ago +3 / -0

Can you try one of those virtual numbers like google provides?

2
AmmoHoarder [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

I haven't tried that but it sounds like a pain in the ass to set up just to have a twitter account

I'll encourage everyone to check that link out and read the guide. That is crazy stuff. Glad I swore off Kroger a few years ago.

oh, so made up bullshit words. No more money from me!

4

Wow! Now I'm even more sure of my boycott!

At the end you said you would not shop at fry's. Is that owned by kroger?

15
AmmoHoarder [S] 15 points ago +15 / -0

Yes, Dillons and some others too. Search for "Kroger stores"

7
ouvrez_les_yeux 7 points ago +7 / -0

Fred Meyer is one too.

Food4Less is fucking ghetto. They have armed security in a lot of their stores around here and Ralphs is too expensive.

PraiseBeToScience 13 points ago +13 / -0

I think we should really target the porn section of Reddit.

Reddit knows that porn drives like half their traffic. They can piecemeal ban places like /r/JusticeReturned, but porn is pretty binary: it's there, or it isn't.

The vast majority of advertisers want nothing to do with porn. This is why porn sites always have sketchy ads and not for Best Buy.

Hammer on /r/gonewild for having no age verification and therefore potentially sexualizing minors.

6
AmmoHoarder [S] 6 points ago +6 / -0

Excellent point! I will go that route next time too

Russiansockpuppetspa 8 points ago +8 / -0

I already refuse to shop at Kroger stores for how long they take to unload trucks at the distribution centers. Truckers are really active on Google maps reviews to leave instructions and warnings to other drivers. Check out the reviews on one of Kroger's or one of their other distribution centers, it's full of horror stories of being stuck for days at a time and then having to pay hundreds of dollars as a lumper fee.

4
rooftoptendie 4 points ago +4 / -0

i can't figure out how you found those.... got any links I can use to see these? I sent these Kroger bastards a strongly worded letter yesterday. Stuff like this makes me want to send them another one.

3
Russiansockpuppetspa 3 points ago +3 / -0

Here's a link to one of the worst ones. All 1 star reviews. These drivers sound miserable. If I think of more I'll send them in another reply

3
rooftoptendie 3 points ago +3 / -0

AWESOME! TY

These are absolutely HIDEOUS reviews!

3
AllAmericanAdonis 3 points ago +3 / -0

They should stop deliveries to their distribution centers completely.

Interesting!

jimbad05 8 points ago +8 / -0

Good idea, I sent one too. I modified your message slightly to make it a little more generic, and included some info about the porn subreddits they fund;

Good morning Ms. Howard,

I write to you today about Kroger's advertising spending on Reddit.com. Reddit promotes shocking, harmful, illegal and obscene content, including one community - IllegalLifeProTips - dedicated to tips on stealing food from grocery stores and other products from small businesses.

Additionally, there are numerous "subreddits" on that service that glorify rape, rape culture, pornography and involuntary pornography. Reddit has no child safeguards or age monitoring in place and after ten plus years of operation I doubt they have considered doing so.

The number of children being exposed to degrading women, pornography, rape, incest ideals and underage intercourse on this platform is staggering, astounding, and frankly reprehensible. I implore you to have a sampling of this atrocious behavior and have provided a clickable list of “subreddits” below. I do not believe, and certainly hope, Kroger's business' mission statement and ethics policies do not align to the support of this kind of content. I urge you to investigate for yourself, and draw your own conclusions.

https://www.reddit.com/r/inbreeding https://www.reddit.com/r/rapeconfessions https://www.reddit.com/r/abusedsluts https://www.reddit.com/r/barelylegal https://www.reddit.com/r/womenintrouble

Now, Reddit has banned all communities that support the President of the United States, and they allow communities that promote murder of our nation's police officers. Here is proof: https://old.reddit.com/r/JusticeReturned/  I have archived a particularly disgusting post on Reddit glorifying the massacre of five police officers in Dallas by a BLM terrorist: http://archive.is/eMytL

I'm very disappointed that Kroger continues to advertise with a business that promotes killing police officers, violent pornography, and censorship of a political party. As a result, I will not be shopping with Kroger any longer, instead making my purchases at Aldi and other grocers who do not fund cop killers, looters, and violent pornographers.

Goodbye,

I've always hated Kroger anyway. I started going to the local farmer's market to get my meat and produce. The meat vendor is locally owned, locally produced, and based. No gay pride logos or virtue signally bullshit. Produce from Amish farms, also based. I am proud to support them instead of shitty giant corps. I live in PA so I am lucky enough to have a lot of local products. I also try to shop at the small mom and pop grocery instead of Wal Mart.

I have gotten to the point where I am sick of giant "woke" corporations and making multi-billion dollar companies richer. I am even fine with paying a little bit more. Thanks for letting us know that Kroger supports Reddit.

My man...I hate to be the bearer of bad news but...Frys is owned by Kroger.

8
PepeFarmsRemembers 8 points ago +8 / -0

That's why he said he's not shopping there anymore...

"I am very disappointed that you did not feel I was worth your time to respond to my letter two months ago, and now and so I will not be shopping at the local Fry's any longer. I will be using Safeway and other local grocers from now on."

3
AmmoHoarder [S] 3 points ago +3 / -0

Yes, I was saying I'm NOT going to Fry's. Safeway is my replacement, at least until they're cucked too. So far, so good. Safeway doesn't trip if I carry while I shop, too, so that's nice.

Frys?

Kroger's grocery chain in my state. They have different store names depending on which area of the country.

I use the pharmacy, my company insurance pays for our prescriptions. I get a $1.00 off each gallon as a result of the card. I buy my gas there and net $300 a year in savings. I am not going to support the store but I will continue to reap the rewards.

In my small town the Kroger store (Fred Meyer) is actually better than the Safeway. Conservatives tend to shop at Fred Meyer and Democrats shop at Safeway. I prefer the independently owned Grocery Outlet here over either of them.

to the other people here: individual level boycotts DO NOT MATTER. These corporations don't care about individuals, the only way to affect them is through organizing to inflict actual pressure (which is not accomplished through boycotting)

AmmoHoarder [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

You mean like getting thousands of people together on a website and agreeing to contact the company?
