Libs hate Rorshach because he was "right wing" and ranted against homosexuals and shit like that. He never did anything to the "degenerates" he complained about as far as I know. He just ranted about them. He targeted violent criminals. But it's what makes the vigilantism compelling in the story. What's to stop some other vigilante from targeting who he feels morally justified in going after? Rorshach is NOT a villain in Watchmen, he's an anti-hero. In the woke HBO limited series, they made white supremacists worship Rorshach in the war against police, who needed permission to unlock their guns while on patrol. It was an interesting idea considering the war against police now where they have to wear masks to protect their identity, now. But of course they got it backwards where it's white nationalists attacking police and leading this movement instead of BLM left wing anarchists attacking police. I only watched the first episode though.
Alan Moore comes off as such a lame edgelord and is a self described anarchist who doesn't vote on some kind of principle. But a casual review of his politics would show he definitely leans leftist.
