This is 100% a manufactured crisis. The number of positive tests includes false positives, matches to other coronavirus strains (like the common cold), and duplicates (if you test positive and retest, you count as two people with positives).
Additionally, this crap about 6' of "social distancing" is complete garbage. There are zero studies that recommend it and in fact across the world the distance might be 4.5 feet or 3 feet or whatever the hell arbitrary number some bureaucrat though sounded good.
The only thing to watch is ICU admits due STRICTLY to covid-19, of which there are VERY few. Hell, they're not even reporting that crap properly. In Houston for example they came out and said "OMG we're at 100% ICU capacity!!!" and then 18 hours later they said "Just kidding, really we're at 25% but honestly we have no idea"
It's all bullshit population control. And I'm damned if this isn't a massive constitutional violation as well.
Texas has 7000+ ICU beds. The other day our Lt Dan said only 1700 of those are holding Kung flu cases. Of that 1700, it doesn’t mean they’re in ICU for cv. They could be there for another condition but also got a positive test.
It's worse than that. In May the feds have forced new counting guidelines on the state. They're counting countless contacts of confirmed cases without any evidence those contacts are positive. That's the spike we've seen in May. Wait til that becomes public. They also changed the criteria for deaths the same way. It's beyond fake and phony. This is turning into the biggest fraud ever perpetrated.
