In my area there suddenly popped up a "Free Minority COVID screening" I obviously raised eyebrows because my area is suburban to rural and there was only a single confirmed case in the county in the months prior to the program. I realize now it was just a pretense to bring bodies in for "testing" and amp the numbers. If they get one they can get 10, the numbers are all that really matters. They'll never talk about hospital resources or deaths again probably.
