Our ancestors raised hell because they felt there tea was being taxed unfairly. They didn't have representation in the government. It's the exact same situation now only bigger and the "representation" is infringing on human rights more and more by the day.

Trump has a lot of power, but he doesn't control the country. The left does, and their culture does not resemble ours. The analogy is appropriate.

It's "1776" as in it's time to reclaim our freedoms. Just like in 1776 we claimed them. In 2020 we reclaim them.

You're not this dense, unless it's on purpose/trolling.

A history book won’t help me with your god awful reasoning.

Remember this is the United States. It is state governments that are the monarchy mistreating the citizens. Governor decrees you can't sing in church. But you can spend all day yelling at a cop 6 inches from his nose.

Not even close.

It's actually worse. The British had an Atlantic Ocean to protect them from the American Revolutionaries.

If American patriots revolt, the corrupt Democrat governors won't have that luxury. Thus, it'll be more like the French revolution.

Interesting take. Both sides could claim it looks like the French Revolution. The marxists wanting to overthrow what they think is an evil oligarchy is very reminiscent of the FR. even if we all think they are crazy.

Is it a revolution when the district attorneys, mayors, governors, mass media, and billion dollar corporations are supporting you?

I see what you're saying I guess I'm less saying that the situation is 1:1 similar and more that the things state governments are allowing is infringing on freedoms similarly.

Dude, you're overthinking it calm down. People feel that state governments are infringing on their rights (and they are), people mention 1776 as a reminder to fight for our freedoms. It's that simple. I don't need your post-modern deconstruction of "well acksually".
