This is such great news. I'm most curious if it matters when it's taken,; i.e. early onset or when hospitalized.

Post the link yourself on like FB or something, you’ll see a graph as the link pop up that shows exactly that

Thank you for posting this!

Do you have any insight into the timing and duration of the various designated stages listed?

PrEP PEP Early Late

14
EpstinDidntKilHimslf [S] 14 points ago +14 / -0

Yes, take it early before the virus has a chance to multiply.. the stages and times vary based on viral load

11
GoneWithTheTide 11 points ago +11 / -0

PrEP and PEP are pre exposure prophylaxis and post exposure prophylaxis.

PrEP is something that you would take every day to prevent something - if you don't have a spleen, taking an antibiotic every day to prevent certain bacteria from affecting you, for instance. In the context of the study site, how effective taking hydroxychloroquine is at preventing cases of COVID-19. Many of those studies show that cases in HCQ PrEP were reduced, meaning, fewer cases in those taking the PrEP.

PEP are something that you would take if you were around someone with COVID-19. If someone in your household had it, what everyone else in the household should take, even if they weren't showing symptoms. The studies don't seem as strong in that case, but at least one of the studies there shows diminished cases.

Early vs late changes from study to study, but a general consensus that I determined from a brief skim was that less than 3 days is early.

Late seems to be 'advanced/severe disease' rather than a time course, by many of these studies..

Oseltamivir, a drug we take for the flu virus, needs to be taken within 48 hours of flu exposure for best effect. I'd imagine that HCQ might behave the same.

tonysoprano 3 points ago +3 / -0

Thank you, pede! This was very helpful!

18
meals23 18 points ago +18 / -0

it appears that it doesn't matter at all, the President has admitted that he was taking it preemptively without showing any symptoms at all for months, and the studies done on its effectiveness have been on patients at all stages of the disease

I would love to see the percentage of lupus and RA patients who died from covid.

5
cheesecakelove 5 points ago +5 / -0

I guarantee it low as all fuck.

2
nutup_orshutup 2 points ago +2 / -0

Apparently somewhere else in this thread they examined 10,000 lupus patients for cv. Zero finds.

9
Toohershat 9 points ago +9 / -0

Well most all of the studies returning Negative results were late stage - some mentioned "extremely sick" patients. I think at a certain point, a sickly, elderly person who also has it might be a bit too far gone for HCQ to turn things around for them. This of course does not alter the wonders of this drug for most people with covid or those seeking Preemptive treatments.

6
cheesecakelove 6 points ago +6 / -0

Yeah that’s exactly what happens. The drug inhibits the virus from replicating. So if you give it after the virus has proliferated its too late. Of course these shitheads would never report the details or even do a legitimate study.

16
A_Flappy_Civic 16 points ago +38 / -22

Good news. You never have to worry because you won't get a fake virus.

71
TonsOfSalt 71 points ago +71 / -0

It's real, just a ridiculously overblown response to the actual risk it presents.

25
Scroon 25 points ago +26 / -1

Yup. I think what happened was the initial release was somewhat potent, like a superflu, but it quickly mutated into something inconsequential since the engineered genome wasn't stable.

31
SordidPontification 31 points ago +31 / -0

I'm increasingly more convinced this is part of it. 1) Younger population being infected, 2) evolving into a weaker strain, and 3) a better idea of treatment protocols and supplementation. It's no coincidence that the people sewing panic about SARS-CoV-2 were the same ones swearing you can't do anything to boost your immune system... then the vitamin D3 studies came out suggesting people with poor outcomes were--surprise!--vitamin D deficient (pro-tip: this explains why people with darker skin had poorer outcomes).

But, we all know the real truth. This was overblown to wreck Trump's economy.

11
ProphetOfKek 11 points ago +11 / -0

I truly believe the Chinese ineptly allowed it to escape, but if they were going down they were taking the rest of the world with them.

8
JeremiahKassin 8 points ago +11 / -3

Don't kid yourself. They brought a brick of dry ice loaded with the stuff to a wet market. They had agents infected with it spitting on elevator buttons and staircase railings. They did this on purpose.

8
ProphetOfKek 8 points ago +8 / -0

That’s the first I’ve heard of that. I don’t get why they’d start it in their own country first.

1
EpstinDidntKilHimslf [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

Yup.

4
SordidPontification 4 points ago +4 / -0

I didn't buy into this theory at first, I'll be honest.

But the more I dug into it, the more I'm convinced it's true, and I think your argument of ineptitude is absolutely true.

My rationale is this:

  1. One of the researchers who was fired in Canada (Chinese) was an immunologist working on an Ebola vaccine.
  2. We know the Chinese try to be "first" at doing everything, as we saw with IgG/IgM antibody tests coming out of China that didn't work. Stealing Canadian data to try to fast-track a vaccine seems likely.
  3. The furin cleavage sites on the s-spike proteins in SARS-CoV-2 are shared among HIV, Ebola, and some strains of influenza and other coronaviruses. However, if you were aiming to develop a "safer" virus-based vaccine for HIV or Ebola, you'd probably do something with a coronavirus in bat populations to test since they're vectors for Ebola as well.
  4. The Wuhan lab specialized in coronaviruses.

So, if we assume SARS-CoV-2 was involved in vaccine research of some sort, it's not much of a stretch to imagine that they either inadvertently (because China) or deliberately (...because China) let it escape.

Then instead of doing the right thing and trying to contain it or inform other countries, they quietly swept it under the rug, which would explain why it appears it was spreading in China as early as November, possibly October.

Now, I'll say that I don't think the flu-like illness earlier this year was SARS-CoV-2 because the hospitalization rates don't match up. There's some speculation it was another, more closely related coronavirus, which would explain the antibody assays popping up in populations that were infected with "something" earlier this year.

But it does give me pause for thought. If there was a weaker variant of coronavirus floating around that's responsible for some limited immunity in populations even here in the US that would explain the spike in flu-like illness in Dec/Jan, what's the likelihood that one also originated in China and/or a Chinese lab?

1
EpstinDidntKilHimslf [S] 1 point ago +2 / -1

Yes and they were creating a virus like this for exactly this purpose

7
TonsOfSalt 7 points ago +7 / -0

Lots of reasons... the treatment strategy in the beginning was dead wrong.

5
GoneWithTheTide 5 points ago +6 / -1

It was dead wrong, and some might say inept.

Combined with moving COVID patients into nursing homes, a "conspiracy" theorist might say that it was a treatment strategy designed to kill as many people as possible, in all age groups.

However, I'd like to assume the best of the doctors prescribing ventilators. COVID does affect the breathing, and ventilators ideally breathe for you. And while it was very clear that ventilators didn't help in many cases, I do believe many doctors thought it was the only shot they had for severe disease, especially when the HCQ research was shot down by every major medical outlet after Trump's statements about the drug.

I hope that this series of events causes the medical field to take a good, long look at the dangers of politicizing medical research.

3
TonsOfSalt 3 points ago +3 / -0

Trust me, no ulterior motives at least from the care provider. During the initial phases, everyone thought it was a form of ARDS and thus should be ventilated with that specific strategy in mind. As it became clearer that it was a primary micro clot issue impairing diffusion, everyone realized the ARDS vent settings were making things worse. The strategy changed when we realized it wasn't typical intrapulmonary ARDS. Focus shifted from early intubation to delayed while doing DVT prophylaxis and maximizing O2 delivery non-invasively. One of the added difficulties is that we were being pushed to avoid high flow systems and NIPPV because it was supposedly "aerosol generating" and increased risk of spreading it through the hospital.

10
Warskullx 10 points ago +10 / -0

It does, the earlier the better. It is anti-viral. It doesn't work once the virus has ravaged your body.

The big thing is that HCQ is a pretty safe drug, that doesn't require hospitalization. You can't use Redemsivir outside of a hospital. With HCQ, you can give them some HCQ and a Z-pak and start them the moment you believe they have COVID-19. Stop them from ever getting hospitalized in the first place.

2
hulda824 2 points ago +2 / -0

in many Countries HCQ is routinely given as a prophylactic for malaria. Wil be interesting to see what the Covid rate is in those Countries. Laura Ingraham says she travels to Africa regularly, and her MD always gives her a dose before she goes...bc malaria. it's a very common and cheap drug.

Here is my own compilation, that may be useful as well:

Hydroxychloroquine Facts:

– Used for 60+ years (1958)

– 100+ Million people used it

– Safely used for long time (years) by Lupus patients

– 10,000 Lupus users tested, not a single one tested positive on Corona Virus

– CDC declared it as safe to take for even pregnant women

– Out of patent = free market = cheap ($20 for treatment)

– Used in India as preventative

– French scientific study over 1,000 patients, 98% cure rate

– Brazil hospital, 90 deaths before HCQ, 0 deaths on 500 patients after using HCQ

– New York Doctor (Dr. Zelenko) 98% success rate on hundreds of patients

Be aware of the BS “studies” that try to disprove the above:

– Above recommended dosage it is dangerous. Really? You can kill people with too much water!

– Below recommend dosage (instead of 400 mg they used 100 mg) – Not very effective, no kidding!

– Doing a “blind study” where instead of comparing to a placebo like a sugar ill they used another effective treatment (vitamin C). This was a Gates funded study

– Dismissing it because it is not 100% effective. The flu vaccine has an average of about 30-70% effectiveness. Almost nothing has 100% effectiveness.

– Used too late and without Zinc for Corona virus. HCQ and zinc can stop the virus from replicating, but it does not repair damage. HCQ without zinc is not very effective.

– Skewing the baseline, e.g. using sicker patients for HCQ test than the alternative test

and on and on.

The most recent VA study used at least no zinc, too late and had more sick patients in the HCQ group than the other, see https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2020/04/devastating-renown

Nah, we need a $3,500 cure and we need the government to purchase ~370 million doses of it for every man woman and xir in America. Please pay no attention to the board members of the company or how they are related to top government officials.

2

Agreed 100%.

How do we get in contact with the mods to make it happen?

30
incogneato 30 points ago +30 / -0

It is unbelievable that these people got away with saying that hydroxychloroquine was unsafe and "would kill you" if you took it. That is absolutely criminal and you can be sure that people died because of it. They were denied a cheap, effective, and readily available treatment for COVID-19 and simply left to suffer on ventilators until they died.

The Globalist Left only did this because the pandemic wouldn't help them if there was a simple cure for it.

HCQ has been around for decades. It is very well studied and very well understood. It is a form of quinine, which has been around since the turn of the 20th century and is also very well studied and very well understood.

Evil, evil criminals. This NEVER should have happened and should NEVER be allowed to happen again.

5
Afeazo 5 points ago +5 / -0

They said "Listen to doctors, not politicians" and then I was reading comments on Reddit of people saying they are not sure if they will take HCQ if their doctor prescribes it due to the dangers of it.

AKA, they literally are not listening to their doctor, but the politicians telling them its dangerous.

They said a drug that is widely used and has been prescribed for decades will kill you. They literally scared people into not believing their doctors when being given professional, licensed medical advice. We need to prosecute these people and throw them in the electric chair.

2
SheepleMaster 2 points ago +2 / -0

This is irrelevant to weather Trump should have taken the position to push the drug when he did.

He didn't push the drug. Here's the quote:

HYDROXYCHLOROQUINE & AZITHROMYCIN, taken together, have a real chance to be one of the biggest game changers in the history of medicine.

He just said they had a chance to be a game-changer. NEVER recommended people take it without medical study, as the media would have you believe.

Here's the tweet so you can see it for yourself.

8

HAHAHAHAHAAH they're fighting on the medicine sub. I used to go there before COVID for research and practice advice, before it all became anti-Trump, anti-hydroxychloroquine all the time. What a bunch of leftists fucktards. They are literally shaking at the news - and there's no thread about it - you have to look in the overall COVID thread for it. Ridiculous.

3
SheepleMaster 3 points ago +3 / -0

How can we trust any "experts" ever again when they're always putting bullshit politics above scientific truth? And then turning around and claiming only THEY have the truth. I'm done, my trust is gone, and it's THEIR OWN FAULT

2
YouKnwNthgJonSnow 2 points ago +2 / -0

As a medical professional I don’t put much stock in research done by social science. But I generally do trust medical research. The research indicates that hydroxychloroquine is a helpful component of COVID treatment. The research is trustworthy, but you have to know how to read and interpret the data, as well as be able to locate any variables that might challenge the validity of a study. What I DO NOT trust are biased people who ignore valid studies or put their own spin on the interpretation.

Just in case... What's the latest on doses to give during the early stages for the combo (HCQ, Azithromycin, zinc)? I'm sure it's at least based on weight, sex, pre-conditions, etc, but there must some general guidelines... Not sure I would trust a doctor whose reluctant to prescribe.

5
EpstinDidntKilHimslf [S] 5 points ago +5 / -0

Correct. It depends on when you think you got the disease, your symptoms, and likelihood of negative soliloquy occurring from too high a dose. Overall, 600 day one, 200 thereafter, WITH Zinc, AZT if you can swing it. I’d say save the last part for the patients that didn’t take it early enough.

Huh, its almost like the most powerful man in the world, with access to intelligence and research from the most powerful institutions on the planet, with direct lines to communicate with the top minds of any field, knows better than some reporter who showed up hungover to their 4pm shift at CNN.

Every time Trump says something, ask yourself, why would he say something that he doesn't know to be true and give the media the opportunity to smear him more? Of course, facts dont matter so they smeared him anyway.

4
Slothboy 4 points ago +5 / -1

This. Trump is easy to understand; he likes to be right. He also hates to be wrong. So when he says something, it's because he's pretty sure it's right.

That's why it's basically a meme that "Trump is right again" because he doesn't say things that he doesn't have some kind of information about first.

His communication style makes him sound like he's just shooting his mouth off, so the press assumes that's what he's doing. So they take the bait, and ultimately end up looking like idiots. And Trump is right again :)

2
Afeazo 2 points ago +2 / -0

Honestly I cant even count the amount of times I have seen comments on Reddit to the tune of "Fuck, this is going to give Trump supporters the opportunity to say "I told you so" again".

Its a pattern, and humans literally are the best pattern recognizing "machines" on the planet, yet they dont recognize the pattern. I originally assumed these people are just mis-informed or something, but it really is mental illness. A 28 year old neet locked in his basement commenting on Reddit thinks he knows better than a 74 year old billionaire business tycoon who only involves himself with supermodels, and happens to be the most powerful man on the planet. Sure.

Hydroxychloroquine: $11 for whole treatment, millions of doses in FEMA stockpiles, it's a widely used Malaria drug that even the CDC recommends to pregnant woman. Millions and millions of doses given before COVID was a thing, all safe.

Remdesivir: $3k for whole treatment, needs to be made sold by Gilead, not as safe as Hydroxychloroqine.

MSM gets paid by Gilead and wants to see Trump fail, so they push Hydroxychloroquine nonsense, even though its one of the safest drugs ever given (in a proper dose, which a fake Brazil study failed to do and gave lethal doses). Now the Detroit study that came out had extra money to study more patients, but they were scared from the fear mongering from the MSM.

MSM has death on their hands.

Was there ever any doubt?

Weremoose 3 points ago +3 / -0

Can someone tutor me on how to read this completely? I want to post it but I have a few lefty academics FB "friends" who bring the heat. Got to be prepared.

I got ya. Just post it, tag all their names. I’m the youngest ortho specialist in the country. They’re not going to be able to say anything. They won’t, especially by tagging them. They’ll have to have legit scientific data behind their comments before they say anything. I know the type(s). Even CNN just posted cardiac surgeon research touting its safety.

Thanks, pede. I'll message you if I have questions.

My background is IT, so I can kind of understand these things but often miss the nuances.

EpstinDidntKilHimslf [S] 3 points ago +3 / -0

Good news, no nuance. It works, doesn’t have any side effects. Not even a higher rate of heart abnormalities. Yeah, not even those..... ... they can even google it. Put the onus on them. You’re giving them 50+ studies, they have to meet a very very very high bar before they can say anything. They won’t until they have legit proof, unless they’re overly emotionally involved.. possible.. but yeah.. they’re going to have to have an insanely good argument

they’re going to have to have an insanely good argument

Or they'll just ignore it or lie in response like all dishonest adult children suffering from TDS do.

Dishonest discord is what Liberals do.

But can we make the pills red, because...

HCQ didn’t kill itself.

💯

So the Left's TDS argument is that since you need early treatment and doesn't really work past 5 days, it is not a cure. EHMAHGERD DRUMPF PROVEN WRONG AGAIN! FAKE NOOOOSE!!!

3
Supernova 3 points ago +3 / -0

That works out to ~111K lives saved had CNN not lied.

3
Supersaiyanbroly737 3 points ago +3 / -0

It's a disgrace how the Trump pill was treated by the Lamestream media and the supposedly scientific medical community. From fake data to bullshit study designs to suppressing doctors to FDA dumbassery, it's all corrupted.

I was just thinking today that I needed to get back up to speed on all things HCQ+Z and... here it is!! I love this place so much! Happy 4th everyone!

Fuck the MSM.

EpstinDidntKilHimslf [S] 3 points ago +3 / -0

Agreed. Spread the info in as many places as possible. The algorithms are no match for a pede with motivation. You can turn this election around

thallos 3 points ago +3 / -0

I wonder how many people died of terminal TDS over this....

3
Yucky 3 points ago +3 / -0

Superb collection. Whoever did this deserves serious recognition.

This entire shutdown was completely avoidable, and the deaths were largely unnecessary.

3
WalterEKurtz 3 points ago +3 / -0

they need to start putting people in jail. Americans and people across the world died because of the political bs.

3
HankHollywood 3 points ago +3 / -0

Goddamn right. People died and will continue to die over bullshit Orangemanbad/HCQ. It is so infuriating. The MSM and Democrat shill losers owe America blood, ounce for ounce.

Remember libtards want this to be illegal. You'll need Cuomo's permission, it's different for the media and elites though. They'd rather you die then take this racist drug. Surely something that's been around decades and deemed safe by FDA can be banned because Trump said something positive about it.

Yes. They’re evil. How should we proceed to make Sure everyone knows about this tho?

2
spuger 2 points ago +2 / -0

I found it doubles your chance of surviving, over 2,000 inpatients. Cant say where.
