Perhaps I wasn't clear. The "switch" the Democrat party conducted was orchestrated by LBJ. LBJ was one of the most racists presidents we've ever had. His plan was to dupe the black community into voting for the Democrats by promising them all this free shit, and occasionally handing it out. And he made sure that what he handed out (welfare) would destroy the black community and make them dependent on the Democrats for their very survival.

He had pure, unadulterated contempt for the black community and that legacy continues today in "the new" Democrat party. .
