When the Nazis got power in Germany, they sent a delegation to the US to see how they handled the legal issue of discrimination. See, they wanted to legally discriminate between Jews and Germans and such.
When Hitler heard all the dirty things Democrats did to hurt blacks in the 30s, he rejected it outright as TOO extreme. That is, Jews were treated better in Germany by Nazis than Blacks were treated in the US by democrats.
Woodrow Wilson is in my mind one of the most evil president in our US history, and it's not because of what he did as president, but the damage he did using his reputation to rewrite much of our history to portray the blacks as degenerate, malformed, or incompletely evolved. Much of the racism that is prevalent today can be traced back to his writings, and through him back earlier to democrats in the Civil War.
