I have a feeling that much of the egregious racist violence in US history was committed by Democrats after the slaves were freed, as a way of punishing Blacks for leaving the plantation. The type of voter fraud and intimidation, and straight up murder of Republican blacks by Democrats described in this video is exactly what you would expect from a party that was so against emancipation. Now that same Democratic party looks back on their own violence as proof that our country is racist.
