"Mostly peaceful protest burn and destroy 1500 businesses resulting in $500 million in damages."

"We've arrested 10 people."

So 10 people caused $500 million worth of damages?

It will be a while. Just a few years ago, you could get a home in detroit for an iphone or a house in St Louis for mowing the properties lawn for a year. Nobody is going to want to invest in there for at least a decade or two unless they're willing to hold it for that long. Doubtful with the taxes

4 billion is the final amount? How about nope, ask BLM to pay for the damage. They got the money.. oh wait, it's the dems money. Have the democrats pay for it since they praised this crap

This is a good legal question. If a disaster is easily preventable and a jurisdiction does nothing to prevent it, are they eligible for damage funds? I think FUCK NO.

Just say "no".

LOL... NO.

Get fucked Minneapolis and St. Paul. Not a single fucking penny for you. You made your bed with your idiot politicians, now you must pay the price for CHOOSING not to enforce the law.

Defund the police, more like we have no funds to give. Maybe they can virtue signal the fire fighters next, or the highway department.

We need to end this federal disaster shit. Unless the federal government CAUSES a disaster, every state should be responsible for its own. If you live in Florida, congrats, you get to pay for hurricanes. If you live in California, congrats, you get to pay for faggot AIDS epidemics. If you don't like that move to a different state.

I have no problem with the federal government helping during natural disasters. Allowing riots to go on checked though....

I have no problem with the federal government helping during natural disasters.

Honest question. Why should a guy who lives in Montana pay for hurricane damage in Florida? People in Florida choose to live in hurricane alley. People in Montana don't. Federal disaster funds are just state-level socialism.

I think states should take care of internal disasters to the best of their capacity, but if a big enough "act of God" happens I dont have a problem with federal help. At the end of the day we are the United States we can look out for each other.
