I’ve been to mt Rushmore. As a climber there are TONS of climbable areas behind the monument itself...if anyone defaces this monument its purposeful and done by trained professionals. This isn’t some type of place you can walk up and deface. You need to know rappelling skills of the highest order to get where to heed to be to do so. And to get to that area is a task in and of it self.
