I made soup and celebratory cake and my husband and mother and I all gathered around the livestream like it was old time radio! Absolutely loved both the words from the beautiful and eloquent Governor of South Dakota and our beloved president! I cannot tell you how wonderfully uplifting and encouraging it was to hear the unfiltered truth, no punches pulled, and hope for our nation.
I also want to thank everyone who attended for their rousing support and love for our country - the cheers were healing to my heart. It's been so hard, even with places like The Donald, not to feel discouraged and isolated. Thank God for our President and First Lady. Thank God for the good people of our country.
And now I can hear neighbors setting off fireworks a day early, too. I'm so glad to be here. God bless America.
