Here's how artificial and insignificant Reddit's city subs are-- there are cities that are top 10 in population (a million or more of residents) and there aren't many subs (maybe a few 100k). The online activity is pathetic. It will be something like 200k subs with 400 people online at most times. Even for large cities.
Then there are cities that are obviously red in real life, but somehow deep blue on Reddit. It's almost comical. I guess the commie cash is worth it in the short term. If they had a forum that was more balanced they would have more genuine engagement.
