Bitcoin can't even be traced is my understanding, so unlike other donation methods it would be completely secure. Anything that took cards could ultimately be compromised, or companies like PayPal could just refuse to process payments.

Bitcoin can theoretically be traced as all transactions are public information, especially if the user doesn’t take steps to increase privacy. Companies like Chainalysis provide governments with abilities to tie transactions to identities upon converting crypto to fiat (USD, GBP, etc.), however, there are other cryptocurrencies such as Monero that are designed with privacy in mind that cannot currently be traced. If a user wants to remain anonymous, their best bet is to never convert crypto to fiat currencies, just use the crypto like cash (only spend the crypto with businesses that take crypto which is becoming easier and easier).
