I am not convinced that Tucker’s twenty years of reporting has the same ability to translate into leadership as Trump’s fifty years of dealmaking and negotiating in some of the most bloated, inefficient, environments in the world. Trump had daily dealings with powerful unions, more powerful port authorities, heavy handed regulators and government officials. Trump did business in many of the most competitive environments in the world. He got financing, permits and licensing in a bunch of countries and he was successful over decades during which his industry collapsed multiple times and during which interest rates and regulations had massive impacts on lending environments.
Do I think Tucker could do a great job explaining why Trump was successful? Yes. Am I convinced he could replicate what Trump did? No, net yet.
Yep. We are about to lose Rush. We have already lost Fox News; they are just waiting for conservative contracts to expire.
Many of the newer voices coming up are using podcasts to build their platforms and I don’t think the older crowd will ever switch to podcasts. They listen to Rush and watch the news.
Hannity can’t fill Rush’s shoes. OANN has a very limited broadcast network and can’t fill Fox’s shoes, at least not yet. I am worried about how we communicate with the older voters over the next two cycles.

Bongino has a strong following but I dont know if boomers are his audience. He fills in for Levine who has a good following of older listeners.
