I learned that the hard way. Programming is a difficult skill. Not easy to learn, and even more difficult to actually be good at. BUT almost useless on your own. It soaks you up. Really. Ability that could actually accomplish great things just gets eaten up by the machine.

Solving complex problems is really fun. It's challenging and engaging. It pulls you in. After 30 years, I started diversifying, and learning other things. It turns out that I'm, actually, very good at a lot of things now, and they're all rewarding. But I'm, also, almost 50 and burned out. Many regarts. The system is just there to suck you try, then spit you out.

I agree 100%. Full stack here and it’s no longer what languages you know, but what framework and they invent a new one every day. Since I’ve been gravitating more towards UX I have more time to explore other things
