I saw on reddit people were already making claims that this was a domestic terrorist plot because the guy drove down the exit ramp to get on the freeway and how the driver should be charged with 1st degree murder.
This was before the driver's information was revealed.
I just watched that video several times to figure out what happened from the driver's perspective.
He's probably driving 70 mph (as most of us do on the highway). He sees two cars stuck in the middle of the road and has no time to break so he does the right thing and turns on the side to avoid them.
How the fuck was he supposed to know these were the asshole protesters and they were all on the fucking road?
These protesters are morons and should be arrested for blocking the highway and be charged for murder if the person dies.
They parked a fucking van in the middle of the highway, at night, and then had people running around on the other side of the van, where they were completely hidden.
He swerved to avoid hitting the van, then swerved again to avoid hitting the crowd running onto the highway, then hit a bunch of morons already in the highway.
Nothing he could have done to avoid that one. People aren't expecting roadblocks in the middle of the highway.
