Surgical face masks significantly reduced detection of influenza virus RNA in respiratory droplets and coronavirus RNA in aerosols, with a trend toward reduced detection of coronavirus RNA in respiratory droplets. Our results indicate that surgical face masks could prevent transmission of human coronaviruses and influenza viruses from symptomatic individuals.

"Nature" was outed as a shill. It even says on the mask boxes they will not block viruses. They were never meant to. And further proof is that States are accepting "bandanas" and "scarves" etc. It's BS.

Nature is the #1 hard science journal in the world and has been for many years.

Surgical masks or better is what you should wear. Ignore what's on the box. The warnings are there to keep them from being sued if somebody buys a mask and goes around an unmasked sick person and gets sick.

That's not how masks work. Masks prevent sick people from polluting the air around them with coronavirus. They don't usually stop it from getting through if its already in the air. That's why everybody needs to wear masks.
