I was kind of expecting something like this to happen. Biden is too weak as a candidate and the DNC is running on yesterdays fumes. The Green Party and the Libertarian party doesn't really feature so it leaves the field open for some opportunistic candidate who thinks Trump has weak support, but Biden can't pull of a win. Having a popular but otherwise hollow candidate to distract from the unbalanced Biden v Trump matchup might actually be good for this political season.
