The centipede is a predator

CrimsonClown 5 points ago +5 / -0

Yep, IIRC there is a breed that can easily kill people.

The left can't stop us. We are many...we are connected...we are right.

I've been seeing a lot of these centipedes lately. I take it as a sign. MAGA! KAG!

17
GuerillaYourDreams 17 points ago +17 / -0

I love our centipedes and I hate those centipedes; that’s the very worst thing about living in New York or Pennsylvania!!!

13
IPreferDiamonds [S] 13 points ago +13 / -0

I'm in Virginia. Actually centipedes keep the spiders away. So I don't mind them.

19
SquiggyMcPepe 19 points ago +19 / -0

The bigger ones can catch small mice. Watching an insect eat a mammal alive is disturbing for some reason. ;^p

Amaroq64 14 points ago +14 / -0

We like to counter moral vegans with "the animal kingdom is crueler than the meat industry", but the animal kingdom has nothing on the insect kingdom.

Animals at least kill their food before they eat it. Insects are cold, heartless robots that will just pick you up and start munching you while you're still alive, and they just don't even register your screams of pain or pleas for mercy.

7
CrimsonClown 7 points ago +7 / -0

Actually, that’s pretty accurate.

They lack a lot of shit that larger animals have in our brains. They are quite literally instincts personafied. The animal kingdom can be just as cruel sometimes but, with insects, your know there is nothing going on in their heads.

Hell most insects don’t even really see so much as the detect movement.

You can teach animals to resist and disobey their instincts. You can’t do such for insects and arachnids.

Butthurt 4 points ago +4 / -0

Yeah they’re basically just biological automatons

2
bluebahloo 2 points ago +2 / -0

Fixed spelling for you.

"Actually, that’s pretty accurate.

Oh my God! I don't think I want to see that.

HockeyMom4Trump 3 points ago +3 / -0

Are those things in your house?

2
IPreferDiamonds [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

In my basement sometimes. But I looked them up and they actually eat spiders and other bugs, so they are okay.

I only see about 1 a week. So it's not bad.

2
Amaroq64 2 points ago +2 / -0

That's one of the sadder things about them to me. I like spiders.

2
Skogin 2 points ago +2 / -0

Jumping spiders are the bomb.

Charlotte’s Web fan, maybe

1
Amaroq64 1 point ago +1 / -0

I just always thought spiders in general are cool, haha. Especially wolf spiders and other ones that actively hunt their prey instead of waiting for it.

3
Butthurt 3 points ago +3 / -0

I hate them too. Especially house centipedes. They look fucking disgusting. Thank god my house doesn’t have them, but I remember when I was younger and poor, my parents were renting this house that had a perpetually flood basement, and a spider and house centipede problem. I didn’t have a bed and slept on the floor, and was terrified of centipedes crawling on me at night. All that went away when I was told about my white privilege though.

3
Viking 3 points ago +3 / -0

When I lived in Michigan we had house centipedes. Fast lil fuckers.

I hated them tbh. Just see one dart on the way from the corner of your eye would keep you up until you could find it a destroy it.

I get they eat spiders but I had a fear of one of those things crawling in my ear at night.

4

They are nimble and they are high energy!

3
IPreferDiamonds [S] 3 points ago +3 / -0

They are quick and nimble! Yes, high energy!

5
TaggartCiscontinenta 5 points ago +5 / -0

Highly Venomous

4
Amaroq64 4 points ago +4 / -0

Never seen one like this. Only the house centipetes where their legs make them look monstrously furry.

I've learned to like them, but they still give me a heart attack when I see them running out of the corner of my eye.

I know a guy that was in panama in the army, and had his boots off in a guard shack, he had no idea a centipede was eating his foot because they have a numbing agent in their bite. He lost almost his entire big toe.

4
IPreferDiamonds [S] 4 points ago +4 / -0

Yes, I've seen the house centipedes too. Yeah, they do look furry. I get both kinds in my basement. But they keep other bugs and spiders away, so that is good.

IcedCovfefe 4 points ago +4 / -0
