I think one of the things that separates a lot of Trump supporters from the left, is that when I read the first joke about her dress looking like someone gave him a sharpie, I got it...I chuckled. Then of course you hear the same joke 50000000 times, and you realize they really can't meme. If I make a Micheal Obama joke, they lose their fucking minds.
I went to a 4th party this evening, and a few of my lefty family members made the same sharpie joke. I told them the the dress was designed by a group of autistic children. They felt terrible. I didn't tell them I was joking.

I don't know what you mean by "2" dresses. The dress FLOTUS is wearing is from the "dancing" fabric. It is ready-to-wear. There are at least 2 styles, 2 color choices, and the option of a wool wrap with the "dancing" pattern.

But why? I had no idea who the picture was depicting before I saw the title, and my first thought was "huh, that's a pretty cool and artsy dress, I like it".
