IN my town the residents brought tons of "undocumented" fireworks to the houses in the area where they usually launch the official show from. It is near one of the local fire stations.
Probably had a 10-15 minute constant firework show, the FD just sat on the bumpers of their trucks and watched from the station. Two police cruisers just sat in the area and watched and made no attempt to stop it.
Watched this in real time last night. Can confirm it was amazing. In addition to the fireworks the sounds of parties everywhere—people were out. People were celebrating.

Doesn't sound like part of the show, sounds like they're responding to calls, etc.
But it does add to the atmosphere lol.

I live in a small town, non-stop explosions.
I can see the horizon being lit up with lights, colors and smoke.

Dude in LA county we had a fire chief get in trouble once because someone recorded a video of going apeshit with the illegal fireworks a few years ago
There have been quite a few fires as you’d imagine. Wish they were at the mayors house.
