To really put it in perspective, look at it like this: HCQ is a $20 treatment that will fully cure the <1% of people who will have severe reactions to the virus (not even counting the people who never get the virus or show any symptoms). The patent for HCQ is long since expired, so it can be made generically for cheap.
The vaccine is a patented $100 treatment that is expected to be administered to every healthy person on the planet.
That's not to mention that the vaccine doesn't even exist yet and they're already complaining about people rejecting it.

Theoretically, the way they do it now is best. Private enterprise does the work, government looks over the shoulder every now and again to make sure they aren't killing people. Remdesivir is sorta helpful, on the level of hydroxychloroquine uncontrolled for zinc status. How and when to use it, and with whatever else, is important.

And there are alternatives to the zpack. Most docs I’ve seen use doxycycline as an alternative if needed.

Doxy is really well tolerated for most people. A lot of people take it for years at prophylactic doses for inflammatory skin conditions.

Simplified: When you combine different medications that each can alter the normal rhythm of your heart, the additive (sometimes multiplying) effects can be more dangerous than using each one alone. Enough so that the irregular rhythm could lead to fainting or seizures (with death as a possibility).
What you don't hear is that other combinations of drugs that can also alter your heart's rhythm are routinely used in combination with not much fanfare. It is only because of the politicization of HCQ that people are acting in bad faith and have seized upon the QT prolongation side effects to scare monger.

Some studies didn't administer the HCQ early as it was supposed to be. They gave them HCQ when they were about dead and the media ran with the headlines that HCQ doesn't work.
They also didn't give Z-pak nor zinc in some of the studies.

Yeah, I used to read research papers for a living and there are so many bad HCQ papers that are so outrageous in their design that it can only be explained by intentional sabotage. End of life treatment, poorly controlled study groups, no Zinc, high doses. etc. Meanwhile you see the opposite going on with Remdesivir, where it's also been proven ineffective in serious cases, and only mildly effective given early, a standard which wasn't afforded to HCQ. Now you see the media are on their knees for this. I can't think of any more obvious corruption and bad science since big tobacco got Doctors to endorse smoking.

The Surgisphere study intended to provide a justification to block the use of HCQ, as recommended by Dr. Anthony Fauci, advisor to president Trump. Upon reading the study (prior to its retraction), “Dr Fauci, … grinned as he told CNN that “the data shows hydroxychloroquine is not an effective treatment …”Referring to the Surgisphere report: “The scientific data is really quite evident now about the lack of efficacy for it [HCQ],” said Dr. Fauci. (quoted by CNN). Yeah, The study claimed that 671 hospitals from 6 continents have contributed to the rapid machine learning. Even if th study's claims were true, which they aren't, this would have been a massive data breach and a major violation of global health ethics standards.

I feel like as a scientist involved in this sort of thing to explain how these trials work, and how the news is utterly retarded in reporting on them. I haven't looked at the specifics of this trial, but recently there has been a ton of small clinical trials that received expedited approval, so this really applies to dozens of trials.
A clinical trial will have primary end points and secondary end points, that are what is being studied but also determine when the trial will end. A lot of early clinical trials will NOT have mortality as a primary outcome. Below I will describe a hypothetical small clinical trial and how it could be reported by fake news.
Scientist want to test the dose response of HCQ on viral load. They set up the trial with 3 arms; low dose, standard dose, and high dose. Since there is already evidence that it works, there is no placebo group rather standard of care + treatment. Since viral replication is rapid, and the response to anti-virals is expected to be rapid, treatment is only for 2 days. Secondary end points include reduction in viral symptoms, side effects, and a ton of other minor things. Since they are measuring viral load in patients, they only need a small sample for statistical difference, so only 30 patients are enrolled. So, immediately after the trial starts and they say have 3/5/5 patients enrolled in each group, they see potentially dangerous side effects, say QT intervals, in the high dose group that are significantly different from the other groups. They immediately stop this arm of the trial. Now with the other 3 and 5 patients they realize that they might not get statistical significance using the original statistical analysis, and doing an AD HOC change to the statistical analysis with out corrections for multiple measurements based on changes in data is NOT how statistics work (no matter how many times damn graduate students think it does). So the trial is stopped with viral loads in the low group being mean 36 Units (95% CI 15-44 n=3) and the medium group being 16 Units (95%CI 8-22 n=5). There were not enough people to accurately asses clinical out comes. Was this trial a failure? No, because there are these things call Meta Analysis.
News = HCQ shows potentially dangerous outcomes in patients with no benefit in reducing viral load or patient survival. (Spezzed the news headline).

What that dude said, in short it can be defined as; Every time you look at the data differently, you must correct for the chance that any difference you see is do to randomness. This adds up fast.
From 2010 (in vitro ZINC + ionophore PT) a proven anti-SARS-CoV lab mechanism was known. ZINC doing the actual 'work'. Discussed in January-March within the medical community and MedCram (see here and here). Zelenko writes letter March 23, April 7 to Trump directly. On April 8 in press conference Trump mentions ZINC 5 times in one paragraph along with HCQ.
By then Fauci did oversee wave after wave of HCQ trials no ZINC, not controlled for ZINC, not even serum ZINC measured... ZINC deficiency in patients not even suggested to look for. By the end of May some ~50 US trials without ZINC, ~3 with... 50:3 is a suspicious and surreal ratio for known prior art and a crisis where anecdotal efficacy (Zelenko) should at least suggest trial with-ZINC first.
Considering that in vitro prior art the absence of ZINC mention in the literature of so many trials is again, suspicious and surreal. It may be a great deal of available ZINC is necessary and mixed but positive results of HCQ alone might have actually relied on 'incidental' ZINC patients brought from home inside their bodies. I maintain this is a shoddy way to test a drug.
Loss of smell and taste was added as a COVID symptom. Is this also ZINC deficiency on behalf of these patients? If they entered one of these sabotaged trials they're getting a megadose of ZINC ionophore with ZINC depleted or absent.
Of course I do not claim any possible late stage efficacy for the ZINC+HCQ mechanism since viral replication has already occurred. But it does seem that drug trials were sabotaged, whether by blunder or design, indistinguishable from evil.
I've said it before and I'll say it again - the Left would rather have innocent Americans die than admit that Trump was right.
