I want to see individuals like this sue for wrongful termination.

While I agree, I believe it can be difficult to prove they fired you over political opinions. They easily can claim something else and have data to prove it. Like saying her position was no longer needed and back it up with a budget that cuts the funding for her job, or poor work ethic.

Politics seems to be a valid reason to fire people, at least in many states.

My hospital sent out a chilling message that they will fire you or take away your medical privileges if you post anything on your personal social media on your own time that does not align with their (liberal) values. They said that first amendment protections do not apply. They said that they will do this even if you are not identifiable as their employee, and encouraged everyone to report any behavior of their co-workers that they were concerned about.

This is simply how the left rolls these days.
