The virus was here long before they identified "patient zero". They let the virus run rampant before trotting out patient zero so it would appear to be rapidly spreading.
A msn and woman in Alabama had it in December. The woman recovered quickly, her husband almost died. They tested positive for antibodies when the test became available.
I remember coming down with something really bad in december or november. I figured it was nothing since they didn't announce it until after I was better. But it was the worst sickness I've ever had in my life. A really bad fever that took half a week to break, even when I wrapped up in blankets to break it on purpose. Coughing up my lungs. My brain and eyeballs feeling like they were cooking in my head.
I want to get tested at some point to see if I've already had it.
I got sick the last week of December. Rarely get sick but this one really knocked me on my ass! At the time I assumed it was a flu, but I never had experienced Symptoms so severe in my life before. I was dead to the world for days. It felt like if I wasn’t careful it could easily drop into my lungs. It didn’t but I basically just had to stay in bed and rest for about week and a half. I isolated myself and stayed away from everyone. Once I recovered I was physically weak for another few weeks. Pretty sure now that I had it and would love to test for antibodies once there is a reliable test to do so...

This stuff has been here for a while.

Yeah, I also rarely get sick. But when I do, it puts me on the couch for a week or two.
Maybe you had both the Type A flu and novel coronavirus at the same time.
I read a report how Wuhan was already being locked down as early as October / November.
I believe the report cited traffic movements in and out of the area. Cant quite remember the exact details.
