To not give federal aid will hurt the people of Minnesota of which many are Trump supporters. The left will use this as ammo to say: "See! Trump hates Minnesotans."

Trump needs to start a coordinated attack on Mayor Frey and Governor Waltz with this message:

Mayor Frey and Governor Waltz were directly responsible for this destruction and there will be no federal aid until they resign from office.

Of course they won't, but Trump will have made his point that they were complacent in the destruction and that Trump is the only one to support Minnesotans.

I can't imagine the future consequences of literally quid pro quoing relief money from federal government on the resignation of elected state officials.

Something like that is not what the founding fathers had in mind and would come back to haunt us 1000x worse in the future. No go for me.

The governor allowed the riots to happen, pulled police back, refused federal assistance when offered, allowed Minneapolis to defund their PD, and will go right back to shit talking President Trump as soon as the money changes hands.

Fuck that. Your state, your rules, your actions, your problem.
