Both ruger can use glock mags with the included insert. However the 9 is more reliable than the .40 at least for many users. Extended glock 22 mags on the .40 have a tendency to jam on the last few rounds but the 15's work great. This seems to be a manufacturing issue as many of the .40 work just as well as the 9 on extended mags. If people wonder why you would want a pistol caliber rifle its for stopping power and cheapness of ammo. Haven't seen the numbers on the .40 but the 9 shooting out of a 16" barrel will give it the kinetic energy of a .357 out of a 4" pistol. I would imagine the gains would be even larger for .40.
Honestly I think the feeding issue comes from the ungodly tight springs they used. The few mags I initially bought are no longer giving me any issues, been storing them fully loaded. Brand new mag I had with me today caught 3 bullets.
I can't stand the trigger though, it's crunchy and I'm building a safety-paddle modification as well as a trigger shim so it doesn't grind my finger raw when I spend a long day at the range.
I do recommend the ghost trigger drop-in upgrade for it, makes the trigger a bit nicer and it's only $20.
My only complaint is they only have magwell inserts for the new Ruger, American Ruger and Glock mags. My pistol is the older Ruger mags. They feed, but the mag falls out if not held in place. Frustrating because the idea is a system of a pistol and carbine that shares mags. Searching online is bizarre, as there are very few mentions of this issue. I'm sure I'm not the only person who was excited for the new version to complete the system.
Does Ruger make one of those in best mm?
9 and 40, das all.

After rereading your message, I'd imagine the issue you describe is the opposite issue I've been having, not enough force for the last few.
I assume you’re speaking about the 10mm?
Zoomers love it. Don’t be distracted by their reeeees. .45 won two world wars.
Edit: Fags from the gunnit are spilling over.
Ruger's SR9 isn't the best pistol, but the magazine design is incredibly good compared to other pistols.
I prefer the SR9 magazine over glock magazines, but that's just me.
The Glock mags clip into the PC carbine in one spot, the SR9 mags clip in two different spots. My glock mags work fine in the PC carbine 9mm.

That's cool, I like 9. I own more 9s than 10s.
But best mm meme refers to the 10mm.
I was just thinking it would be an inexpensive range plinker. 10mm is very flat, so fun for steel racing.
Olympic Arms makes several different uppers. I ended up with a 16" carbine. You have to use their mags.
Picked up 1 about 2 weeks ago, fun little plinker and relatively inexpensive. Comes in 9 mm or 40.
Same, got it in 9 and put in the Glock adapter. Looking to get a Glock 50 round drum and a nice red dot sight on it.
The Glock adapter was a great choice by Ruger and helped sell me on the 9mm. Absolutely a ton of fun.
Me too. Sitting on a box of 9mm Glock mags and I see a takedown carbine for 500$? Shut up and take my money
Let me know how the drum works, I've heard they fit but may have some jamming problems.
Yeah, it seems to be hit and miss with a stove pipe issue on ejection. This can probably be fixed though. Here is a demo of it in action.

I've got a Vortex Spitfire 1x etched prism on mine. LOVE that optic!
That removable barrel though :)
How is the .40's performance in a long barrel?
These are nice :D
Beautiful, very accurate. At 100 yards with iron sights, standing, I'm still able to clear out the center of the target.
Nice. I like pistol caliber carbines
Performance wise... They are lethal.
I have the 9mm carbine and it is such a blast! Really easy to shoot even for beginners
