To clarify, the Wuhan lab did have and study samples of coronavirus, and leaks have happened from that lab, before.
This is not the same as claiming the virus was made in the lab.
This guy is claiming it was an engineered, gain-of-function virus, that may have unintentionally leaked.
This is a theory that can be proven or disproven by disclosure of the records from the lab. There would be many, many sequences taken of samples, so the records would be copious, if that happened.
Also, one would expect to see lots of clues in publications. Apparently the latter do not exist, according to researchers in the field.
