I have also struggled with relinquishing control and allowing myself to be the woman, and only the woman. It's awkward and feels right and wrong at the same time. If anyone out there needs a gentle push in the right direction, I highly recommend reading The Surrendered Wife by Laura Doyle, or The Surrendered Single for all you single ladies.
One thing to remember, if you're not repulsed by a man, but you also feel that something just isn't right with your relationship, keep in mind that HE has experienced a lifetime of programming as well.
