Obviously, logistically Kanye West can't get on the actual ballot in a number of states....there is no way he goes for a full 'write in' campaign.

Eventually this will just spiral into Kanye West giving Trump his full endorsement and promising to "Run the right way" in 2024.

This only goes to bolster Trump's support across the board, but particularly with the African American vote.

Kanye could prove to be a good redpill for the people that feel isolated.

I see Kanye getting some people to support him in the coming months. Come November I foresee him stepping aside and endorsing Trump.

It's more likely to go a different way than you expect. This is Kanye. This is 2020.

Could this be a publicity stunt for an upcoming album ala Kid Rock’s senate run back in 2018?

If he runs in 2020 and takes votes from Biden, good. If he runs in 2024 instead, he'd certainly be a better candidate than the establishment. Either way, we win.

I'm stunned by the announcement but I'm a lifelong Kanye fan. His music is important to me and seeing him live was unforgettable. I did some research and many of 2016's closest states are still open for 2020 independent candidates according to Ballotpedia. Both Kanye and the Kardashian family have the vast financial resources required to gather signatures if he is serious.

Here is what he'll need along with filing deadlines:

  • Michigan - 30k - 7/16 unlikely
  • New Hampshire - 3k - 9/2
  • Wisconsin - 2k - 8/4
  • Pennsylvania - 5k - 8/3
  • Florida - 132.7k - 7/15 highly unlikely
  • Minnesota - 2k - 8/18
  • Nevada - 8.6k - 9/14
  • Arizona - TBD - 9/4

I think we are more likely to see a new album in November than his name on the ballot. I have no doubt Americans will write him in though. This announcement will only help Trump, it is already driving the left crazy.

This was very much Trump's way too. He tested the waters several times, almost running. He really didn't want to, but did it when he felt the time was right.

You can't count on Kanye's support. He's in it for his own notoriety, and while I do think he genuinely appreciates Trump, he will turn on him in public when it feels like the right time to get attention.

why doesn't he just endorse it? people call him a hack, if he does what you say.

the number of times Trump is back-stabbed is unbelievable.

That fucker is already trying to sell me a 20.00 shirt for 35.00! All I want him to do is to tell those armed black panthers to calm the fuck down. They hate Mexicans and want Texas!? Some top shelf dumb-fuckery right there.
