Titanium Nitride plating is functional and looks like a golden gun.

Nice. In CA, you can't have one of those. Ordered a mkIV and it was returned because FFL couldn't reg.

Sadly, OP just lost it in a boating accident shortly after this post got stickied..

No handguns are available in California except these .22 and revolvers.

Commiewrecker17 6 points ago +6 / -0

Negative, manufactured before 2018 can be imported and sold. Newer has a RIDICULOUS set of compliance standards that no manufacturers want to confirm to. So essentially nothing after 2017. Common sense. Yeah.

I actually really appreciate California, because they demonstrate what could happen to the country if leftist bullshit takes hold. FUCK THEM.

If you dont see these states as a Front line then you are a fool....it happened in Virginia and it can happen to you too

I can empathize with your frustration friend, but we're all trying to Make America Great Again. It's not hard to be blackpilled when it comes to the sorry state of California.

The only way it can change is if the silent majority in CA is no longer silent and all people of power is removed from office and MAGA representives take their place in one fell swoop. The only way CA can change is if the change is quick and drastic. Dare I say: radical.

You took it to 11 for no reason.

You had a reason to disagree and make your point, but you shouldn't have taken it to 11 imo.

I too am tired when California gets written off. We're trying.

Commiewrecker17 -7 points ago +2 / -9

Don't talk shit about CA. You don't know shit.

1
TonsOfSalt 1 point ago +2 / -1

Calm your tits. Not talking about the people. I'm talking about the 'leadership'

-6
Commiewrecker17 -6 points ago +1 / -7

And I'm supposed to extrapolate that from the word you used which is "them"? Quit moving the goalpost plebe, you said some out of pocket shit and got called out on it. Let it be.

Edit: btw, I deleted my earlier comment myself.

TonsOfSalt 1 point ago +1 / -0

Read the comment chain. It was a direct reply to someone talking about California gun requirements. Who do you think made those requirements?

3
Cali_Republican [S] 3 points ago +3 / -0

Well that makes sense since I purchased this in 04 or 05

3
YellowCrazyAnt 3 points ago +3 / -0

What would make a 22lr target pistol illegal to buy in California?

4
Scroon 4 points ago +5 / -1

Truthfully, because it's a gun. They're just making stuff up to get as many guns banned as possible.

The "technical" reason is because it isn't on the approved CA handgun roster. It takes much money and some ridiculous design requirements for a handgun to be approved, so essentially no new handguns are making the list, and some are lapsing I believe. The approved roster gets smaller every year, so it functions as a de facto ban disguised as regulation.

remember1776 1 point ago +1 / -0

integral silencer most likely

1
WestPalm 1 point ago +1 / -0

It's not suppressed. You need a tax stamp for any suppressor, integral or not.

1
remember1776 1 point ago +1 / -0

so why the commifornia ban? I've been eyeing the SW22 Victory, is that even on the roster?

I was told it was legal to ha e, but you can't purchase.

4
EvanOnTheFly 4 points ago +4 / -0

Sorry for your cleaning sessions. I have a Mark IV and it's one button push to disassemble 😄

5
Cali_Republican [S] 5 points ago +5 / -0

Ya.. it's definitely more of long drawn out love making to disassemble this one.

MegaMagaManX 1 point ago +1 / -0

Once you figure out the mk - 1,2,3 it's simple as pie. Just another procedure

4

It's beautiful

4
glasseye 4 points ago +4 / -0

Those are wonderful pistols.

2
DestroyerofCobwebs 2 points ago +2 / -0

Wonderful once you add on $100-200 worth of aftermarket parts. Never shot a MkIII, but the MkIV stock trigger is dogshit, even on the 'target' models. It's a great platform to work up a more or less perfect .22 target pistol from, though.

I just wish the lower assembly was the registered part, would make barrel swaps a thing.

1
remember1776 1 point ago +1 / -0

SW triggers are shit in general. Had to fix my Shield with a Hyve trigger otherwise it's like sandpaper

1
Cali_Republican [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

Shot pretty well, had ejection problems stock and if it was slightly dirty, would jam.

_alxl_ 0 points ago +1 / -1

Just got a new mkIV 22/45 Lite with my Trump bucks. On the dogshit trigger, I concur. But I knew that I would need to upgrade when I bought it.

1
YellowCrazyAnt 1 point ago +1 / -0

One of my favorites.

3
jimonalimb 3 points ago +3 / -0

Lots of .22s on the Donald. Love it!

1
MegaMagaManX 1 point ago +1 / -0

22lr ftw - cheap, dependable, reliable, and effective

2
AaronWasRight 2 points ago +2 / -0

MKIV is superior but whatever. Nice gun, friend.

2
XOXO_HandBanana_XOXO 2 points ago +2 / -0

I'm surprised by how long it took Ruger to turn this into a easily serviceable firearm. My 22/45 is an absolute bitch to work on. Sure, it shoots great, but damn. It's not just a safe queen, it's a breakdown queen as well.

2
Cali_Republican [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

This was purchased nearly 12 years before the mkiv release lol

2
MegaMagaManX 2 points ago +2 / -0

Best things I've done to mine is: disable mag disconnect, disable chamber indicator, and add volquartsen parts kit. Nice rig now, and maintenance ain't bad after familiarizing with it

2
TXNFOURDJT 2 points ago +2 / -0

Nice. I bought a mark 2 for my son. What grips are those?

3
Cali_Republican [S] 3 points ago +3 / -0

Volthane target grips

This is an excellent shooting pistol. Happy gun day to you.

1
SloOlePede 1 point ago +1 / -0

VQ trigger? What else?

2
Cali_Republican [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

The whole vq competition kit, recoil rod and spring, large formed grips

1
SloOlePede 1 point ago +1 / -0

You shoot matches or just appreciate a nice gun? I try to shoot Steel Challenge when I can but my MkIII is stock Ruger.

2
Cali_Republican [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

Used to target shoot at the NRA range in Las Vegas. Haven't shot seriously in years.
