As a black woman surrounded by liberals I've never felt able to speak out without being completely alienated by friends, as I don't see politics as something worthy of making-or-breaking friendships. Hell, I didn't even vote last year.

But going through these posts has made me feel more connected to America and why we need to protect it from this attack on liberties and freedom worldwide. We need to be reminded of our responsibility to our country, as well as to ourselves.

See you at the polls!

And don't ever feel like you have to say something just to agree here... Foreal... As plenty of people here can tell you, I sure as hell don't.

If something is said you disagree with feel free to call that shit out, disagree, hell even argue about it for a short time. Let yourself be heard. And then makeup so we can get back in the real fight, together.

This is literally the only place on the interwebs I can come for civil, friendly, polite debate. It's like being back in the 90's. That's why it's sooooo easy to spot trolls/ shills here. The "how dare you" crowd sticks out like a sore thumb.

The few heated arguments I have gotten into here almost always end with a mutual understanding ending with “fren,” or “fellow ‘pede.”

It’s like how physical fights were back in the day. You get in a quick fight, hit it each other, one goes down, and the other offers a hand, helps him up, and “we cool now?” “Yea we good.” I’ve been in two physical fights in my high school years long ago. Still good friends with both, and was friends with them immediately after the fight

I think it’s a guy thing. Girls play psychological games with their “friends,” but shit on them behind their backs.

Guys defend their friends when they aren’t there to defend themselves, but bust balls, talk shit and call them out in person. Sometimes physical fights occur, and all is generally good right after. No psychological warfare

Edit: when these two worlds collide, however, bad things can happen. Girls go after their girlfriends’ crushes/exes/boyfriends all the time. Some guys fall for it, a lot of others don’t. Rarely, though, do I see guys go after their friends exes/girlfriends, or often ask/talk about it beforehand. Obviously generalizing hard here but definitely something I’ve seen more than enough

I have indeed. I just dont respond to any of his lol.

I did have one where where I lost it and basically told a guy to fuck himself because he was trying to tell me I have bad parents. I rarely talk that way, and never get into name-calling or things like that, but you attack my parents (without knowing them or me), especially my mom, and you're going to be told do eat shit lol

Oh yeah, those aren't counted in the "two fights in high school," comment. The numbers go a lot higher if I count hockey, since I played from about 6yo-high school, and they were letting us beef it out even at like, 11 years old haha. My high school coach really hated it, but even then it was still basically allowed (albeit with a few minutes in the box, or kicked out of the game if you kept it up), but our coach would also have us do probably about an hour of suicides after the game if we were getting in too many fights (the whole team, too... it was seriously like that scene in Miracle)

Agreed. Ideas should always be debated and questioned vigorously. This allows for the best ideas to prevail, the guiding principle of meritocracy. We must consistently remind anti-Trumpers, that they are voting for a platform that is for defunding the police, erasing history, censoring ideas and thoughts they disagree with, tearing down statues, promoting anarchy, riots, looting, violence pro-segregation, increasing taxes, appeasing terrorists, releasing violent felons, killing the elderly, and punishing business owners. Then make them defend each of these positions...Is it any wonder that all of America's Enemies are staunchly team Biden? The Biden family had untold millions handed to them by the CCP. Do people think that was charity? It's a post-dated 1099 for services to be rendered. There should be no need for people to drag themselves to the polls to vote for Biden, they can load a gun and point to their head in the comfort of their own homes.
