"In 1919, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP)" dubbed it "the Negro national anthem" - Wikipedia

So this is who foisted this divisive nonsense on us!

Black people, do not accept this! We all have the same national anthem "Star Spangled Banner". We've worked so hard for so long to be a united country. Let's not go backwards!

Let's all stand together and make American life good for all of us!!!

He was the Walter Williams of his day - a great mind and honorable role model. I didn’t know this about the black national anthem - I mostly don’t like the song called that it’s so divisive. Never listened to the song

Two questions for Al Sharpton:

  1. Was Booker T Washington a great man?
  2. What are your thoughts on the following quote?

The moment you said "black national anthem" you lost . There is NO black or white national anthem.

By now everyone here should be aware how the left operates and their use of names/labels to influence culture.

Booker T. was based. We really need a BLM vs. Black History Month death match.

Ngl, singing a different national anthem for black people (implying its just for white people) is one of the most dangerously decisive and racist thing I've seen the left come up with so far. They really do want all out race war.

The corporate DNC business party is exploiting this for their own benefit, but I don't think even they can control the genie out of the bottle.

Indeed

James Weldon Johnson wrote beautiful verse

I love the song Lift Every Voice and Sing

They used to teach it as one of many patriotic songs in grade school

It's so sad this beautiful song is being misused by the corporate racebaiters. Here's the last verse:

God of our weary years,
God of our silent tears,
Thou who has brought us thus far on the way;
Thou who has by thy might,
led us into the light,
keep us forever in the path, we pray
lest our feet stray from the places, our God, where we met Thee,
least our hearts, drunk with the wine of the world, we forget Thee,
shadowed beneath Thy hand,
may we forever stand,
true to our God,
True to our native land.

Make America Unafraid to Hymn to God Again!

I'm sure no one will mind people kneeling during this song.

Nail on the head. If we ever do get to the supposed “equality” they are trying to achieve, all of these dingbat activists and bureaucrats are out of a job.

It’s that simple.

I want a white national anthem and I want it now... I need that white country too cause you cant have an anthem without a white country!

There is no such thing as a black national anthem. There is only one anthem for this nation and its united people, and it is not divided on racial lines.
