If the hair comes from China, it is 100% taken from Uyghur in concentration camps. That has been going on for a few years now, the product comes from Xinjiang where the concentration camps are.

Human hair is legit for sale--India is one of the biggest exporters of hair. Women do voluntarily cut it for the money. Need evidence it was involuntary, since this is in fact a known product and market. Also black women are not the only women who wear wigs or weaves.

I don't care if they do sell them voluntarily... that's just pure exploitation.

Wigs made from human hair harvested like that is just gruesome. It's weird just plain weird. Nobody should be doing that now. We have technology to make synthetic wigs.

It's a strange thing to put another woman's hair on you damn head.

And don't gimme no sob story about cancer and what not. Those women can wear synthetic wigs, and often have their own hair made into wigs. I know I wouldn't want some strange woman's hair on my head.

LOL men wear them too. But you don't like them? Don't get one. It's none of your business what other people do. Wigs only go back to...the Ancient Egyptians at least.

Honest question, do you wear a wig? It's just you seem very defensive about them.

No and I think the person who is rabidly against what other people do in this respect, even dissing cancer patients, should probably get some therapy...must have been some childhood trauma when his Mom's wig fell off or something. Then again, many men are completely ignorant on the subject--but OP is rabid.

Sorry if it came across like that.

It's not the wig.

It's other people's hair. And how it has become such a huge market.

I'm old enough to remember lots of people wearing wigs. It was hugely popular and they were definitely not human hair in seventies.

I just don't understand it. Knowing how people are exploited and how these things are not ethically sourced I would just feel very uncomfortable with them.
