California uses a Top Two Primary System that basically has turned into one party tyranny for the state.
They have an open primary, and the top 2 candidates regardless of party affiliation go on to the final ballot.
Essentially, the Newsome-Pelosi Cartel have rigged California to be a one party, anti-democratic state. This is why Pelosi will never lose her seat until she croaks. She is never outflanked by a popular 3rd option on the final ballot, which this year is coming from a popular Bernie endorsed candidate on the left. But she'll win at least 70% of the vote since its just a binary choice.
Yeah, I mean it passed 53% & was on the ballot in 2010 in a June primary election which had only 5 million voters. The general election had almost 10 million in Nov, so clearly they snuck it in. Had it been on the general ballot I doubt it would have passed.
I think Scott Adams was right on this - these insults aren't effective. Just because we wouldn't want to be called that doesn't mean much when we wouldn't be voting for her anyway. Does it make the leftists do anything other than double down? Nah.
